Dr. Evan Marc Stashefsky, MD

Both times he was attending at the hospital he discharged my mom when he shouldn’t have. He’s unsafe, unkind, and lazy. Dr. Stashefsky is like you to know that if my mom has a seizure or goes into cardiac arrest because you discharged her early, that it is your fault. I really should sue for negligence. You’re a terrible doctor. If you don’t like treating patients, find another job. Don’t subject people to your so called “care.”

If you ever find yourself or a loved one in a medical situation at St.Johns Macomb and are searching for a compassionate, thorough, proactive doctor that seems to be in sound mind and focused on the situation presented to him/her, DO NOT HAVE YOUR LIFE AND HEALTH OR THAT OF YOUR LOVED ONES PLACED IN THE HANDS OF THIS DOCTOR, EVAN MARC STASHEFSKY . Had the unfortunate experience twice in a six month span at Saint Johns with this man caring for my elderly mother resulting in her passing. My whole heart advice is to read every negative comment left here on his reviews because they are 100% representative of who this doctor is. With that being said, there is no need for me to personally comment on my families situation with Dr. Stefansky . It’s all stated in the reviews. The comments alone from staff members that have to work with this man at the hospital explained everything…GOD BLESS AND GOOD HEALTH.

Dr.stashefsky is a fabulous dr that I have been seeing for years. He’s even given his cell phone number for outside of normal business hours which I have never had any other dr do. Dr Stashefsky works hard and try’s his best to help you with your health. I give him the utmost respect. In conclusion, I highly recommend him.

My mother went into the hospital for COPD related issues, and he was very quick to kick her out with no tests done or anything in almost a week being in his "care". Come to find out she had blood clots in her lungs as well as pneumonia. He went against what her pulmonologist and other doctors said and sent her home not well at all. When I questioned his decision he got very defensive and arrogant. Major superiority complex. She is now getting the care she needs by someone else at a different hospital, and doctors said she would have likely died while being at home. Take your family member somewhere else if you see his name, likely has harmed multiple people or worse.

I was referred to Dr Stashefsky 7 years ago by my family doctor to be my attending physician while in the hospital. My family doctor left the clinic at least 5 years ago & wouldn't take any patients with him so I've treated with the docs at the clinic. I made an appointment with Stashefsky (giving them the above info), showed up & took care of the "new patient" intake process with his staff. Stashefsky then walked in & informed me he couldn't see me for purely polices reasons - my old family doctor refers patients to him so he can't accept me as a patient! I tried explaining I haven't treated with family doc in long time but Stashefsky just told me where family doctor is now located! I guess if you have ever treated with ANY of his referring physicians at ANY time you're out of luck with this guy. He even acted as my husband's attending physician in hospital AFTER old family doctor left. I wasted a day off and still have medical issues that need to be taken care of so now will have to… find someone else and do this all over again. Don't waste your time with Stashefsky. Too bad as his nurse was awesome.

This doctor should not see patients in a hospital nor in a doctors office he has a nasty mouth, rude and doesn't care to help people when they are sick. I will be finding another doctor to take my father. He made me cry after he insulted my dad who was a Veteran such disrespect.
