Dr. Evans Parnell Holland, MD

One of the worst physician interactions I’ve ever had. He performed a Heart Cath on me. Along with most of the Cath Lab AND the recovery room staff, they were condescending, unresponsive to my needs for alternative communication ( I am Deaf ), and had no understanding of my history even though it was provided twice to staff members upon admission. The experience was horrific and made even worse by the Cath Lab lights going on and off which caused Vertigo while I was on the table. Dr Holland explained what he did during the procedure while masked and staring at the video screen. To a Deaf person. In recovery, he stopped in briefly and laughed. Never again. I’ve had many surgical experiences and procedures. This was atrocious. The 2 stars are only because the Stents seem to still be in place and performing.

Took care of my uncle when he was admitted to McLeod Hospital for Afib and Cellulitis. He was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He showed a genuine concern for my uncle’s overall care and took the time to go over his condition with him and family members. He even worked with him to try and keep the cost of his medication down.
