Dr. Evelyn Rosel Kessel, MD

Dr. Kessel and her support team are consummate professionals. Exceptional communication skills coupled with extraordinary competence, dedication and genuine empathy enabled me to navigate through a very serious condition.

I saw Dr. Kessel about 3 months ago and the experience was so horrible that I can’t with a clear conscience not write a review. I looked her up before the appointment and found some of the bad reviews, I was naive and though I’d be fine. Nope. When we arrived the front staff was clearly frustrated, which was projected onto me, and Dr. Kessel was late. When she finally arrived she looked almost disheveled and was extremely cold the entire time. She was the first GI doctor I’ve ever been to, which I told her, and she was getting extremely frustrated with me if I didn’t describe something in enough detail for her. Instead of being patient with me she kept getting more irritated and short. After that she said she was going to examine me and I specifically asked “what are you examining” and she just gestured to me and said “YOU”. I wish I had gotten more detail because she did a rectal exam (which I am doubting was even NEEDED) with absolutely no warning and nothing came from it as… expected. I left feeling violated and extremely upset, I’ll never return to this practice.

My primary doctor sent me to Dr. Kessel because I was having pain in my lower right abdomen. I had been to her once before but the pain persisted. So I returned to see her. I was greeted with a cold "what is the problem". I had tests done that showed nothing but I told her my pain continues and that concerned me. When she started to end the interview, I asked if she was going to examine me. Her reply was, "I examined you the last time" and left the room. In my entire life I have never had a doctor talk to me that way. I was appalled. The pain continues but I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. She is cold and unconcerned and should NOT be a doctor. I am an 85 year old woman and felt extremely depressed after my visit with this "doctor?".

This Dr is so into herself. You can have a book of Drs that have treated you 3 inches thick Accredited drs and she won’t believe you’re sick She’s got one of the worst bedside manners I’ve ever seen and is very rude to her patients

Did not listen, she is above you, don’t dare see other physicians or you will be black listed.

Found Dr. Kessel very friendly and went through the prosecute completely. Staff very friendly also. Appointment ran on time, which is pleasant experience.

My app.t was for 10 am. Came early to fill out paper work so I'm not counting this time. Appointment was at 10. Brought into exam room at 10:15. At 11, I asked one of the nurses what the hold up was. They never came back so at 11:15 I left. What would you have done? This show me NO regard for patients. No apologizes. Not even a follow up call.

Dr. Kessel was thorough, kind, patient and effective. She worked hard at finding the correct diagnosis and explored all the alternatives in order of least invasive first. I highly recommend her!! And I am healed!

I had to wait a while for my appointment to begin, but Dr. Kessel spent a lot of time reviewing my background and thoroughly explaining everything. It was well worth the wait and I would highly recommend her.

She is the BEST OF THE BEST.
