Dr. Evelyn’s Family Practice
Dr. Evelyn Poku-Kwateng is a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry. Originally from Ghana, West Africa, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993 followed by a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 1998 from the University of Ghana Dental School. After relocating to the United States, she repeated her education in America to comply with US licensing laws which require dentists to earn a dental degree from an American University. In 2006, Dr. Poku-Kwateng received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the prestigious NYU College of Dentistry. She is a member of American Dental Association and Virginia Dental Association. She lives in Haymarket, Virginia with her husband, Steve, and their three children. Whenever she has spare time, Dr. Poku-Kwateng, known as “Dr. Evelyn” enjoys spending time with her family, attending church activities, volunteering and reading.

She is attentive to the fears and apprehensions of children as well as adults, and takes the time needed to ensure that each visit is a comfortable one. NYAME BIRIBI WO SORO - literal translation “God is in the heavens”. This symbol of hope has been a source of inspiration to Dr. Evelyn.
