Dr. Evelyn Rosario Runer, MD

Hardly talks to me at all and interrupts every time I try to talk. NEVER smiles or has a positive comment. Is on her laptop the entire appointment and rarely speaks.

I had a very uncomfortable experience with Dr. Runer. To begin, I am a pretty active and healthy 25 year old. I was referred to an endocrinologist to check out my thyroid due to it being enlarged. No big deal. I made an appointment and got in fairly quickly. Dr. Runer came into the room and was incredibly rude and spoke to me as if I could not comprehend anything she was saying. I left the unsure but made appointment for a biopsy. I returned and it was hands down the WORST doctors appointment I have ever had. She was rude, rushed, and did not explain the biopsy at all. She started on the right side of my neck and dug around with a needle for about 3 minutes. It doesn’t hurt but it made me extremely nauseous. After she finished I told her I needed a second before she began the next side because I thought I was going to puke. She turned around with the needle in her hand, told me she didn’t have time to wait, proceeded to stab the needle IN MY CHIN, then jam it in my neck. After she dug… around for another 3 minutes she pulled the needle out and walked out of the room. No comment on my bleeding chin, didn’t ask if I was okay, nothing. I left in shock and told them I would call for my next appointment…I don’t plan on returning.

I was under Dr. Runer's care years ago until she moved to Huntington Valley. It was too far a distance from my home. I am currently seeing her at her Fairless Hills/Langhorne office. I feel very comfortable talking with her, unlike other endo dr.s I've been to. She spent 1/2 hour with me, answered all my questions and made the necessary adjustments to my diabetic meds. She is an excellent endocrinologist and I would highly recommend her

I been going for some time but I don't think she is friendly. she makes you feel like you know nothing and she knows everything . some time I do wonder about her treatment. and I think she has some kind of issues her self. I am thinking about not going back and finding a new dr.

As a nurse I went to Dr. Runer several years ago- her exam was minimal; she prescribed a medication and the dose was incorrect- when I called to question and ask for correct dose- the receptionist was polite and called me back to tell me that the medication would not be ordered unless I made another appt. When i explained that I was just there for an appt- Dr. Runer got angry and told me to make another appt if I needed the medication- disgraceful

Straight forward Doctor always prompt!

She was rude uncaring and just plain mean I asked her to check me for cancer she got real angry she squeezed my neck because I saw a lump she squeezed me neck so hard I started crying she was so mean I was so mortified and scared of her I will never go back !! I am trying to find a way to report her so this does not happen to others :(

I think this doctor may have her own medical issues. She has difficulty controlling her emotions, eye contact and listening to her patients. It was easy to get an appointment and I figured out why quickly.

I'm a patient of Dr. Runner for about 5-6 years. I agree with other patients, that she could be emotional and moody, and even rude - especially if treatment does not progress as she expected. I.e. when my tests were bad, she was angry, and it felt that she was angry on me. But I don't think that her manners matter more than her ability to diagnose and treat your problem, if anything, it shows to me only her passion to succeed in your treatment . The only bad side of her practice and her office is the unwillingness to submit prescriptions electronically, but again - that is a minor inconvenience.

I question if this "doctor" should be in practice. She is moody-- she literally broke down and cried during my appointment. She is inflexible, intolerant and unwilling to discuss symptoms. Brushes everything off and acts like the patient is lying or making it up. I could not get into the office for my annual appointment right away, refused to extend my medication until my appointment. I WAS TOLD THE DOCTOR PREFERRED THAT I GO WITHOUT NECESSARY MEDICATIONS FOR AN ENTIRE MONTH AND IT WAS MY FAULT FOR NOT CALLING SOONER FOR MY APPOINTMENT. Staff consists of one very cranky lady with no concern for patient privacy. Will hang up on you. Docr
