Dr. Evelyn J Torres-Dedeker, MD

I was referred to Dr Torres-Dedeker for Menopause issues. She stood for the whole apt, made me feel very rushed, and when I explained my issues she told me to find a primary doctor and take my menopause concerns to them. She didn't answer my questions, I was dismissed. I found myself a Primary doctor and you know what? She does yearly exams! I am done with Southdale OB/GYN!!

She's the BEST OBGYN I have ever seen!!!

I have been going to Dr. Torres for 24 years and have nothing but wonderful things to say. My daughters who she delivered are now going to her as well by their choice. I told them just because she is my doctor, if they are not comfortable, they should find a new doctor. They both still go to her and are very happy. She spends as much time as needed, always spending the first 10 min. or so to just "catch up" on our kids/lives etc. We talk about both of our health and various tests that we have to have as we are the same age. It makes her much for approachable to feel as we are going through similar experiences. She is such a kind/caring woman and very knowledgeable doctor about woman's issues. I would highly recommend her for any age. She is great with the young woman as well as she has kids so understands what they are going thru and can give them great advice. Great office personnel as well. The nurse I had was wonderful, knowledgeable and personable and made the visit… actually enjoyable.

I recently needed an appointment for my IUD insertion and when I called the office, the nurse recommended I see Dr. Torres. I am so glad I did!! She was wonderful! Not only did she take lots of time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions, after she put the IUD in, she was so nice, and stayed in the room with me holding my hand until I was ready to leave. Wonderful bedside manner.

Doctor Torres is a wonderful and very professional MD. It is with great satisfaction that I say she has been my OBGYN doctor for approximately 23 years. Prior to her, I had been seeing another doctor for a few years at Southdale OBGYN who I liked very much. He had performed outpatient surgery on me and was not available when I made an appointment for my follow up visit so, I saw Dr. Torres. She was new to Southdale OBGYN at that time. I was so impressed with her care, concern, warmth and knowledge that I switched to her for all my future OB and GYN appointments, including two DNC's (after miscarriages due to genetic issues), a pregnancy complication , a successful pregnancy and many annual visits. During the past 23 years I have been going to her, she has been warm, caring, professional and very knowledgeable EVERY time. It is also with immeasurable gratitude that I give much credit to her for my healthy almost 21 year old son. After three miscarriages, I became pregnant… with him. Upon experiencing complications during that pregnancy, Dr. Torres applied her expertise and information she obtained through consultations to ensure this pregnancy would be a viable one. Although many years have past since my son's birth, and many visits have been enjoyed, when I saw her earlier this week, she remembered him and my whole family. As always this last appointment was a great experience. First and foremost she performed a thorough and careful exam to ensure medically everything was in good order with me; then she took the time for a warm exchange and friendly conversation about our families. As with EVERY appointment I have been blessed to have with her, I left feeling thankful for such a warm, caring and competent doctor. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Torres-Dedeker!

I see her as my doctor and work with her in hospital. She is a really great doctor, always very sensitive and responsive. She is well liked by patients, nurses and staff!

I was referred to this doctor by my primary care physician for a gynecology problem and I really, really liked her! She was very nice, and figured out what was wrong with me. She gave me great medical care and my husband who came with me really enjoyed meeting her too. I will definitely go back to her and plan to refer my friends to this gynecologist.

Even though my first experience with her was just terrible, I decided to go back anyhow for the second appointment, hoping that she would be have a better attitude this time. But NO. She was the same old woman with attitude. I have never come across such a rude doctor. She makes it so uncomfortable to ask her a question about your concerns. If there was a zero rating, I would love to give it. I would never recommend her to even my worst enemy.

I cannot say enough great things about her! She has taken care of me through 3 pregnancies, one of which was very complicated. Her continued guidance through all our challenges has been exceptional. Her incredible compassion, constant support and knowledge has been a blessing to our family. Thank you Dr. Torres!

I Love Dr. Torres! I have seen her for many years, as well as my friends, and I can't say enough great things about her! Previous reviews are not at all the kind of doctor she really is. She took great care of me with both of my pregnancies, and has always been very kind, compassionate, and extremely thorough. She is a great surgeon, but I have to say she did everything possible to help me with my heavy periods and try to avoid surgery until the last resort. She now sees my college aged daughter who deals with anxiety issues and Dr. Torres has been so great with her as well. I recommend her highly to all my friends.
