Dr. Everett Clayton Embrey III, MD

Dr. Embrey addressed our concerns and ordered tests they thought were appropriate. He took the time to explain why they were doing what they were doing -- which, to anxious parents -- means a lot. He was also good at explaining what other tests may be needed down the road, but probably were not needed at that moment, which we appreciated. Who wants unnecessary tests? The lab results came back quickly (minus the 24 hour / longer tests) and we got the answers we needed. Dr. Embrey got in touch with our primary care physician before giving his final assessment. We really felt we were in excellent hands here.

Dr Embrey is a terrific detective and perfect for the job he has. I arrived at the emergency room in great pain. He started asking me questions and soon discovered that a previous ct scan showed a cyst that had probably grown into a tumor. He ordered a ct scan and sonogram and his suspicions were correct. He sent me to a gyn doctor that handled the problem. I will always be grateful thet Dr Embrey was there when I came to INOVA Mt Vernon ER.

this doctor showed outward anger directed at our adult family member who had a severe mental illnesses, he told us and our family member that if they had cancer or was in an auto accident with serious injuries that is one thing, but He doctor embrey told us that the reason for deny care and testing and causing great distress being rude and nasty is how he feels towards mentally ill patients not just our family member, and that is just the nice part. our family member drove too this hospital for compassionate care for a severe medical condition, not the mental illnesses and this family member was treated as though they were not even deserving of any of this doctors time, except the time he too, too humilate us, and hurt our family member, and refused to let our family member see a specialist for a severe injurty, later requiring surgery after our family member found out from our family GP that surgery and physical therapy is needed and may have avoided all this or at least not sooo… severe had Doctor Everett C. Embrey, MD not taken time to say horrible things to us and treat our family member like a bag of trash he could not rush us out fast enough , even saying dont bother me or my collegues any longer..dont come back here basically...no meds for pain or treatment was given ...i feel this doctor needs education, he stigmatizes the disabled, he treated unethically and did harm to say the least give force him into anger management. we have since talked with ohter familys gone to your doctor and hospital of and they all said the same thing so we are starting to bring to the board all our proof and experiences of being treated like dirt and trash, and hurt by this angry ignorant doctor embrey....this is not over by any means...we all deserve proper compassionate medical care no matter what the disability is or who we are in anyway should be turned away and treated and hurled anger and venom like this man did too many many of our family members with mental disabilities. he needs to be watched..he is a loose cannon..he will if not already cause death by suicide by upseting the severely mentally ill with such horribly obvious hate and ignorance towards this population. no excuses, maybe we will talk civil action if no help is offered here for this evil man. he should not be a treating doctor...
