Dr. Everett Gerard Robert JR., MD

Lack of bedside manner, seemed irritated, lack of preparation and was looking at another patients file on computer, dismissed what was ailing me, poorly run office , rude staff

I could not be happier with the treatment I received from Dr. Robert. He was attentive, kind and helpful. He took his time, answered my questions and made sure I understood his answers. I felt completely at ease in his office and trusted his course of treatment.

Everyone was very nice and helpful. Had an immediate good interaction with Dr. Robert.

Doctor Robert is a tremendous surgeon, intelligent person, and has a sense of humour.Unfortunately his bedside manner is horrible. He is always busy every time I went to see him that I got a feeling that I'm interrupting him. He actually gets irritated pretty easy if you ask,( his opinion), stupid questions On the positive note he will schedule a visit if you have a question - just be prepared to see an irritated guy lol The most important thing is that he does not listen to the patient, it's rarely prepared, and does not remember his patients. He just talks very fast while checking scans or the patient file and then just leaves the office letting his assistant do the rest. After my surgery doctor showed up for literally 2 minutes, said that everything is fine and did not listen to my pain complains. Now if he actually remember me he would know that my threshold of pain is extremely high and when something hurts - it means that somethings wrong. He then left and order the nurses… to take care of my discharge. As a result I spent 2 days in horrible pain that would not go away(it still hurts but manageable ) . The doctor doubled my med dosage and that's it. Everything was normal for him; but not for me. I would never refer my friend or family member to him because there are very good surgeons who listen to their patients and can do the work that Dr Robert did. Overall Dr Robert is very skilled and talented and very intelligent. Unfortunately he is horrible if it comes to listening to his patients and is always in hurry and often irritated.

This Dr and his staff were wonderful, I felt like he was truly concerned about every detail of my back, he listened closely and was very attentive. His staff was great also, the nurse was very helpful with the meds even giving me samples until I could have my prescriptions filled. Not sure how the other patient on here had a bad experience because mine was great. I'll recommend this Dr & office to everyone I know.

Very good doctor. He took his time with me and explained everything to me even though I am not a candidate for surgery. I would rather be told that then have a doctor do surgery on me when I do not need it. Office staff was very pleasant.

From the start trying to get a late afternoon appointment, was like pulling teeth. After seeing him, which he wanted to jump to what was hurting me, period, and not hear symptoms of my condition. He ordered MRI/X-rays. Office staff just said o.k. go here and never said to call back after getting tests, didn't schedule another visit. Nothing! After 3 more phone calls within a week after tests and no one ever called back, I finally made another phone call and went ballistic and got an appointment the very next afternoon. He didn't really explain or show me details on film of my condition, just that he would remove four bones (lamina). Then I had to wait another 10-15 minutes for the fiancial person to come to the room to explain about the money! I left after that 10-15 minutes as she didn't show up. I then asked for her name and phone number upon leaving. I have since called for her and no return call has occured. I think this is the worst run doctor's office I have ever had… to deal with.

Would not hesitate to refer family and friends to this outstanding surgeon!

Not sure what kind of problems the person was having with the complaint. But I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Robert and his office staff. They are very pleasent starting from the minute I walked in the office until I left. He was a very concerned Dr. and sat with me to answer every question and concern that I had. I am very satisfied with my ENTIRE experience and treatment from Dr. Robert and Southern Brain and Spine. Have and will continue to recommed to Dr. Robert

Finally a surgeon that took a lot of time and energy to sit with me and let me explain my whole situation. It is refreshing to know that these type of doctors still exist.
