Dr. Evgeny Gennadievich Fink, MD

My son and I had the misfortune to meet this incentive, sadistic, inhumane doctor on New Years Eve 2007. I was desperately trying to move my son away from the school where he was being bullied and abused in South Carolina. My son who is half hispanic, in a upper-class neighborhood was being brutally targeted, his face smashed in twice. Police did nothing to help or investigate. We see these kinds of abuses on minorities all the time. Seeing it happen to my baby was devastating. I was desperate to move him back to NYC where he had spent his formative years in elementary school. When I first went to Beth Isreal my son had not arrrived yet, and I was in the process of moving him. The stress, and knowing this was a huge move- somehow got to me, I had my first full-blown panic attack. I had NO idea what was happening to me. I just remember getting something to eat - and boom, I could not breathe, There were student doctors that realized what was going on at Beth Isreal where the… ambulance took me. Panic and anxiety disorder, I was diagnosed with., I was placed for the time on Klonopin. I was given a one-week prescription and told to come back to Beth Isreal in a week, Given that is was the Christmas holidays I could not find a private doctor. The first two doctors were very compassionate. I arrived as the doctors had told me to get my prescription. I was met by a Jisha Phillip who ranged and ranted at me that they didn't prescribe that medication there. I was shocked when she wrote on my hospital record - that I was a "frequent flier". As the days progressed I started to get sicker and sicker. I literally was dying - both from panic - and from withdrawal. My son finally arrived to NY a day after Christmas. I had subleased an apartment. I was so happy, yet very sick. New Year's eve - I went back to the hospital to seek help. My son was with me. It was a traumatic New Years eve for us both. Evengy just looked at my son and I as if we were trash. He called his supervisor Laura Bernay ( her reviews online are horrible so I know I am not the only victim) and she came in saying - I was quite the pill popper. Evengy was cold as ice and show no emotion or empathy for my son or me. He did write that I was histrionic with poor insight though. I look forward to putting up the photos of my son's face and his abuse - and ask him if that was really "histrionic"? I'd also like to inform him that later on I was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse and other heart conditions that can contribute to panic and anxiety disorder. Also, there is now genetic testing, something called pharmacogenetics Dr. Fink. There is a marker that both my son and I test positive for Evengy Fink. Evengy didn't just stop with leaving me sick and in dangerous withdrawals. Dr. Fink, his supervisor Laura Bernay, and Jisha Philps went so far to tell a private doctor I had found and paid out of pocket for the medication I had been put on not to treat me. I paid 500 dollars out of desperation to see this private doctor. I was in a new apartment, my son registered at school, The next month the private doctor called me to tell me that the doctors at Beth Isreal "warned him" not to treat me. I had never been on such a dangerous medication before in my life. It was the first doctors that put me on it at Beth Isreal. I got deathly ill - could not work and my son and I ended up homeless. So they put me on medication, took it away from me, and then told my private doctor not to give it to me. I look forward to once again putting everything online. This time along with the evidence of it all. He is a heartless man. I'll never forget crying outside Beth Isreal - my son just arrived - and looking at everyone getting ready celebrating the New Years worried about getting deathly ill. ,, and how was I going to keep a smile on for my baby to make his transition smooth, I had my baby to take care of. A single mother trying to rescue her child from a very dangerous situation. I even have the school records now showing how we became homeless due to this. Pictures of his abuse - EVERYTHING! I look forward to writing a complaint about him and showing what he did to my son and I online for the world to see. A cold callous man who gave zero cares about a mother and son in a dire situation. I will eventually get around to updating this post - along with all the supporting documents and pictures.

I've been going to Dr. Fink for 2 years now. I work in a mental health office, so I've seen how other Dr.s operate. I have to say, Dr. Fink is by far the nicest and easily attainable Dr. I've met. That is hard to come by these days. He takes his time with you, he is very affectionate, professional and if you have any difficulties with your meds he always answers the phone and tries to find a solution.

he's great. the only issue is he only works one day a week so it's sort of hard to get an appt if you're not free that day...

I've been on treatment with Dr.fink for almost two years and feels very safe with him. He is very patient and meticulous with all details. I never felt pressure of time during the sessions and I like his way of explaining things. I wish I'd met him earlier.

I was treated for anxiety since middle school and tried on multiple medications. Majority of them made me slow and drowsy and nothing helped.I barely survived first 2 college years. Dr. Fink spent a lot of time with me getting full history and doing psychological tests. He eventually came to conclusion and convince me that all my troubles are coming from ADHD.He prescribed medication which works really great! Teachers praise me for " change of attitude "!.I told the story to my sister who then saw different psychitrist and also was diagnosed with ADHD which we both now suspect stemming from our dad.

I've been seen by few psychiatrists before and Dr.Fink was a first one who spent 55 min. trying to get all history. He impressed me by his professionalism and obvious eagerness to go into nuances. The interview went very smoothly and meds he prescribed helped a lot. I had several follow up sessions and feels very positively about treatment.

Fink is a very inexperienced psychiatrist. This is how my experience went..I would tell him the symptom I am having the most trouble with, and it is important because it is highly effecting my work and school. He made me take a medication that was having no effect on me all the way to the highest dose in order to rule it out. But what is worse is that he makes you wait 2 weeks inbetween doses, only to give you a 15 minute appointment. If you are looking for results then run dont walk the other way. With his approach it will easily take months to get anywhere.
