Dr. Ewa Barbara Bak, MD

Her nurse is very abrupt and condescending. Assumes she knows everything when she doesn't. She said I did not have a condition when tests showed I did.

Just saw Dr. Bak for the first time today. She was kind, compassionate, easy to talk to, and down to earth. Highly recommend her!

Run the other way. This doctor needs to go back to school. She needs a lesson in patient care and internal medicine. She has no follow up let alone communication. No personal connection and really your just a burden to her. Appointments hard to schedule and thats OK , I am not returning. She doesn't know protocols and don't be misled by the ratings on the University Hospital internet they only choose the positive ones and make it difficult to do a real survey unless asked. I never had a doctor so poor its really disappointing.She is haphazard and disshoveled!

The Dr. has okay bedside manners but she ignored my declining health. I need a dr. who will not only say to me that I need to make some changes in my diet... but one who will help me with that and follow up. That brings me to my next point she doesn't follow up with test results. Maybe she only calls if test results are bad, but I would like a follow up call from the dr. to discuss test results and treatment plans either way. Don't expect reminders from her office if you miss a mammogram or some other urgent test. Lastly, it really is difficult to get in right away. I don't think it really matters what your issue is. The receptionist may tell you that you are on the wait list, but that doesn't help a whole lot when you really need a semi-urgent appointment. Count on waiting for 3 months regardless of your issue.

Absolutely the best of the best. Dr. Bak listens and demonstrates empathy. She is everything that a doctor should be . . . attention to detail, connects to her patient, listens to the patient and knows when to treat your illness and when to refer you to a specialist. Excellent!!

very good experience. Dr. Bak was a good listener, I didn't feel rushed. She was smart, yet relaxed with a good sense of humor and air of compassion too. She spent a lot of time with me. Recommended.
