Dr. Ewa Teresa Dembowski, MD

After 2 blackouts in 5 weeks, had to ask 3 times for a referral to an electrophysiologist for a loop recorder (who did indeed recommend one for me). Received no personal communication or explanation regarding test results of 2 week Zio monitor. Was next scheduled to return a month and a half later, with no intervention. Very aloof manner.

Thorough, kind, responsive! Best doctor I have had in a long time.

If you are looking for a physician who will promptly return calls and address concerns she is not the physician for you. In my experience, even after instructed by her to contact her when I experienced a health concern the message went unanswered for 3 business days, nurse didn’t follow up etc. I’m moving on. RUSH had a lot of bureaucracy and although she is nice enough your can find a practice that is more responsive and proactive. I could not in good conscience recommend this cardiologist if you have an issue be prepared to go to ER vs waiting for a call to be returned in my opinion.

Dr. Dembowski is fantastic. She is so nice and very concerned about her patients which is nice to know. I really like her.

The biggest problem in medicine today--according to major studies--is the lack of good communication between doctors and patients. One of the many reasons why Dr. Dembowski is one of the finest doctors who has ever examined me is that she has superb communication skills! (And I say this as an ex-professor of communication.) In all other medical areas, Dr. Dembowski is also outstanding and deserves the very highest praise, recognition and commendation!
