Dr. Ewa Krystyna Niewiarowski, MD

Started seeing her out of convenience as I work in the same hospital and needed an inhaler. The first visit was fine. I didnt really need the antibiotics she prescribed, but she seemed friendly, so I scheduled an annual with her. She was so unprofessional at the annual. I arrived 10 minutes before my 9 a.m. appointment and the clinic was locked. I stood in the hall until i banged on the door at 9:15. She let me in and had me fill out paperwork. She then proceeded with my visit, but was on the phone with the lab for another patient the entire time as she was taking my vitals. She even had the lab on speaker phone. Is that not a HIPAA violation? I was pretty committed at this point and finished the visit. I was told I would be notified of my results by Friday. I never got results back. I swore to never see her again, but unfortunately experienced excruciating pain at work and couldn't get on the schedule with other providers in the building on short notice. At this visit, I let her… know I thought I had torn a hamstring and requested scans. I even let her know I have a history of musculoskeletal problems in the same leg. She ignored my history and tried to forcefully get me to agree to an ultrasound as she was convinced I had a blood clot based on my weight and age. I am 30, 5'9, and wear a size 14. I may not be fit, but the likelihood of a bloodclot vs a torn hamstring was obnoxious to me considering I am overall healthy with the exception of tendon issues. She actually told me that she knew better than me bc she went to medical school. I refused care, was wheeled down to the ER by her front office girl and found out I did in fact have a torn hamstring. Which cost me a fortune at the ER instead of with a pcp. She needs to retire. Maybe she was a good physician at some point, but she uses judgement to practice medicine, which is a recipe for disaster.

Charges money to get a referral for a specialist even if she has processed one previously. If you see a dermatologist, neurologist, or any other specialist, expect to pay for referrals. Also, a huge over prescriber of antibiotics. Regardless of the illness, antibiotics are the answer for her.

I have been with her for 15 years and she remembers every medication she has given me and when. She the best doctor I have ever had. I moved to another city and still travel over 45 miles to see her.

She was my personal physician until I left the state of Texas. I always had great service and so did the rest of my family who used her from time to time. The best thing about her is that she is certain about what she knows but does not hestitate to refer you elsewhere for something she does not or cannot handle and her referrals are top rate and always on your plan. I really miss her.

Dr. Niewiarowski is an amazing doctor. She spends lots of time with you and answers all your questions. She is a great diagnostician. I am very lucky to have here as my doctor. I have great confidence in her and her care. I would highly recommend her.
