Dr. Ewa M Preneta, MD

I recently ha a colonoscopy either the doctor. She explained the procedure before b ginning and put me at ease. She also was very concerned about keeping me pain-free during the procedure. The assistant - Shiela— was also A-1 . I could not be more complimentary of both!!!

Dr. Preneta is an excellent Dr. abd was highly recommended by my Primary Care Dr. I've had two already and go back in 2018. It may not be the most pleasant experience, but I feel I can trust that she thorough, kind and caring.

I saw this doctor and I woke up during the sedated procedure (colonoscopy) with tremendous pain that I had to stop. The doctor ignored my requests and I had to raise my voice very loud so she'd stop. Finally she did. Turns out I need general anesthesia because my system is very sensitive. She couldn't wait a moment and was pushing me to reschedule right after the appointment for a repeat procedure under general. I feel she should have been more respectful of the fact that I just had a bad experience and could have suggested to reschedule and she could follow up with me with a phone call in a few days. She just couldn't wait to get me back in. I also felt that this issue could have been avoided had she done more research in her office with me at the meeting prior to scheduling the procedure because as it turns out other family members are not able to do a colonoscopy without being fully under general. This was not even explored. Anyway, I did not like the manner of the way… she worked and would absolutely not go back to her if I can avoid it, which so far, I'm avoiding it.

I don't like having heartburn,but i do like seeing Dr. Preneta for it. i She has a sense of humor, shows interest and compassion with her patients. Dr. Preneta never rushes her patients and always greets them with a hand shake and smile. Faulkner Hospital should be very proud to have her on their staff.
