Dr. Ezequiel Hernan Cassinelli, MD

I walked in like a triple 7 rolled me over ,fighting tears basically, the staff was so patient and helpful except when I had ro walk to Xray.lol I wanted to cry,haha However the doctor walked him greeted me with a very warm hand shake very empathetic to my fetal position in the room,the nurse was very informative as she admitted that shot that made me almost wet my self ,mighty God it burns so bad,it didn't help but I still appreciate all they could do during that vist.thank you guys so much .

I’m guessing the bad reviews are from someone (one person) who was rubbed the wrong way. While he might not be for everyone, I found Dr. Cassinelli to be incredibly professional, friendly and thorough. The nurse also gave me her card to call if I had any questions or needed further. Very pleased with this doctor and office!

From the moment I first met Dr. Cassinelli, he made it very obvious he was not there to listen to me or help me feel better. Throughout the course of my initial visit and two follow-ups he was extremely rude, dismissive, and constantly interrupted me when I tried to share what I was feeling. He told me that the pain I was feeling “wasn’t possible” and then went on to press aggressively on the area of my back I explained a lot of my pain was coming from. It was very uncomfortable, which I told him when he asked me if it was painful. He continued to press on it until I had to ask him to stop. He ordered an MRI but insisted it “wouldn’t show anything”. The MRI showed several tears and herniations in my disks (that had not previously been there before the injury I was seeing him for), in the exact areas I was experiencing discomfort. Dr. Cassinelli claimed these were not enough to explain the pain I was describing and there was nothing else he could do since I already had tried PT. I had… to remind him I had not yet tried PT. He then wrote for me to try some PT and follow-up. I began to feel better while receiving PT, and my PT recommended more since there were many parts of my neck and back affected and it had taken me so long to get treatment (PT wasn’t given until 2 months after my injury). We waited weeks but did not hear back from Dr. Cassinelli. I began to regress in my recovery during that time period, so I contacted his office and set up another appointment to discuss the additional PT sessions. When Dr. Cassinelli walked into my third session, his mind was already made up, regardless of what I said or the PT has documented. He claimed that PT was obviously not working for me since I was still in pain and it had been over three months. I again tried to remind him that I had only just started PT a little over a month ago, and had been waiting for several weeks for more sessions, getting worse in the meantime. Dr. Cassinelli interrupted me claiming that nothing in my MRI explained my pain and therefore he would not recommend any more treatment for me. I questioned him about what he expects me to do if I am coming home in tears from the pain after trying to work on my feet all day. He deflected the question, claiming that I shouldn’t be feeling the pain I’m describing and claimed he had “lightly” pressed on my back and I complained of pain which is not normal. When I again tried to defend myself from his medical gaslighting and remind him that I had said it was uncomfortable when he firmly (definitely not lightly) pressed on the part of my back that was hurting he again interrupted me to tell me that I could go get a second opinion but nothing I said would cause him to write a script for more PT. The only thing redeeming about this man is his PA. India is very kind and compassionate and is always looking to help patients feel better even when Dr. Cassinelli discards them because he is incapable of empathy or understanding the complexity of our musculoskeletal systems are not easily captured in one imaging appointment and it is more beneficial to listen to what other professionals and the patient in front of him are saying—and that just because he can’t find a simple explanation for something doesn’t mean that a solution does not exist.

Arrogant and uninformed.

I went to see Dr. Cassinelli two weeks after a car accident that left me with a neck injury that was progressively getting worse and debilitating me with pain. I booked an appt with him because he was the only person available to see me that day and I was starting to feel desperate for help. I needed some sort of recovery plan since. I can confirm he is just like what was said in the other negative reviews. I felt completely dismissed and could barely explain myself before being cut off. I waited at least an hour and a half for him to give me maybe 3 minutes of his time. A physicians job is to make you feel cared for, and this guy did anything but that. Needless to say I left his office feeling completely defeated with little to no direction for what to do about my situation.

Unprofessional, downright rude! I arrived today at 1:45 for a 2:00 appoint with Cassanelli, MD. The person at the front desk informed me that I would not be seeing Cassanelli, and would see his PA instead. I explained that I had seen the PA on a previous visit, she had ordered both an Xray and an MRI and said I would need to see the MD so that he could evaluate my condition. I completed both tasks in a timely manner. Today, and am told, with no advance warning, that the MD was not going to honor an appointment that was scheduled more than two weeks prior. NOT a class act!

I don't think Dr. Cassinelli really cared to spend time me. He was abrupt and literally walked out on me without options. Looks like someone forgot the Hippocratic oath.

This doctor is good at ignoring you, dismissing you, and providing poor service. I am just a number in Dr. Cassinelli's money making game. Will go elsewhere.

Dr. Cassinelli is just too pushy and often confused about my previous treatments. He never seems to remember what I have already told him regarding my previous treatments. He seems more concerned with avoiding patients and offering surgery too quickly. I am going to see someone else.
