Dr. Fadi Faisal Siyam

Dr. Siyam and his nurse seem to be a very competent and knowledgeable, who really seems to care about his patients. However, the office staff do not. Anytime you call and ask for anything they act like you've just asked them to donate a kidney or something. If you need a letter from the doctor, medication refilled or heaven forbid, a call back from the doctor, give it up. It may take days to hear from them. Your best bet is to make sure you have all of your questions or requests with you at the time of appointment and ask him directly. Any calls for requests through the office might have well been sent into a black hole.

Being diagnosed with hypothyroid and prescribed synthroid, I was hopeful that the medicine would alleviate my symptoms. However, a month later when due for my blood work, I was not feeling any different (and expecting my TSH to remain unchanged). To my surprise the blood work showed that my TSH was in a normal range regardless of feeling all of the hypothyroid symptoms. When explaining this to Dr. Siyam he simply categorized me as "healthy" and sent me on my way. He gave me no plan of action to alleviate my symptoms and there was a total lack of compassion. I was so disheartened by my discovery that he is yet ANOTHER one of those stereotypical doctors that saw "normal" levels and thought everything was cured. I wish there could've been a camera in the room to show a medical ethics class an example of how NOT to treat a patient. Safe to say I will not be back, and will continue to search for a doctor that will be invested in not only improving my TSH levels, but my overall wellness.
