We had a great experience with Dr. Shahara and his team at VCRM. After a late second trimester loss, Dr. Shahara did a thorough work up to help investigate and ensure we were in a good spot to do another embryo transfer. I was so impressed with all the things he checked compared to the prior fertility clinic we worked with. His team of nurses and front desk reception were a pleasure to work with as well.

My gynecologist recommended that I work with a reproductive endocrinologist, and after doing some research, my husband and I chose VCRM and Dr. Fady Sharara. After the consultation with him and interacting with the staff, my husband and I trusted him to help us on our fertility journey. Dr. Sharara is very knowledgeable and an expert in the field, which made me feel comfortable and confident in putting our trust in him. I appreciated that he did a very thorough and comprehensive diagnostic work up to figure out the best treatment plan. As someone who is also in the healthcare field, I very much appreciate having more data. The nurses (Ava and Jessica), billing coordinator (Trish), and other staff (Maggie) were also wonderful. Compared to the brief experience that I had with a large fertility clinic, VCRM felt like a white glove service. I graduated this week from the clinic at eight and a half weeks pregnant and am incredibly grateful to Dr. Sharara and the entire VCRM team for their… guidance, care, and support. I know that I'm very lucky to have only had to do one round of IVF and for the first transfer to be successful. Dr. Sharara gave me agency to decide when to start IVF (I personally didn’t want to spend much time doing IUI) and was supportive of all my decisions as long as they were medically sound. I highly recommend Dr. Sharara and the entire VCRM staff!

Dr. Shara helped us conceive our second child and he also helped us with our first. He and his staff are incredible. They are thoughtful, empathetic and brilliant. Dr. S is always employing cutting edge research and creating 1:1, personalized care for every patient. His staff make you feel like family and take a challenging experience and make it warm and positive. Dr. S did what another clinic found impossible, he gave us the best gift in the world - our family.

Dr. Sharara and his staff made what could have been a very unpleasant process one of the most comfortable medical experiences I've had as a patient. I came to VCRM with severe endometriosis and trying to get pregnant, a combination that doesn't often go well together. Dr. Sharara was incredibly knowledgable and tailored my treatment to exactly what I needed based on my personal medical history, age, and test results. He performed every test, ultrasound, and procedure himself, and I saw the same two nurses for every appointment. I would call fairly often with questions or concerns as I went through the process, and I always got responses the same day that were helpful, and was never made to feel foolish for asking. His staff was nothing short of amazing, providing gentle and respectful care and positive encouragement. Dr. Sharara and his staff were truly the breath of fresh air my husband and I needed in our 5 year fertility journey. It is hard to put into words what they mean to us and of course, what they have now given us. My only regret is not seeing him sooner! Currently we are 20 weeks pregnant with our first, after 5 years of failed implantation issues and 7 failed transfers. He came to me as a referral from a trusted friend after I struggled for more that 5 years with conceiving through IVF. I started at other larger fertility facilities in Baltimore where I realized quickly, I was just a number. The level of personal care was just not there. Dr. Sharara’s office is the opposite from that experience. He is very meticulous, specific, and intentional with everything he does. He devised a specialized thought-out plan for us that included new testing for endo and some re-testing, which was missed previously. He wanted to get to the root of the problem, and he did exactly that with his… methodology before encouraging me to try another transfer. Dr. S truly cares about each patient and their journey. I am forever grateful for his expertise and his staff’s kind support during our process with him. He told us from the start that he would not do another transfer until he was positive, we were ready and prepped. He did just that, and we were pregnant on our first transfer with him. Jill was an amazing nurse to work with and his front desk could not have been more accommodating. I got to see the same staff and doctor EVERY TIME. I highly recommend anyone on the fertility journey to see Dr. S and his staff first! It can save you emotional and financial stress from the beginning.
