Almost 10yrs ago doc said go live ur best life, see u in 10 yrs. In that 10 yrs, I have gone to many different opinions and they literally left me with the wind out of my sails. Like I am going to die tomorrow. Here I am, 10 yrs later and I honest feel as if he sat and listened to my fears, answered my questions for a full hour. I want my arms and hands back, I want to walk without the fear of falling. I am thankful I have come to trust doc over a few appts.

First off, I absolutely HATE going to Harborview. I have never been to a facility with such OBTUSE staff. I had MAJOR surgery, and had serious complications. I am now in MUCH worse condition than I was before the surgery. Although it has improved, I am nowhere close to where I was before the surgery, let alone improved. It is almost at the point where there is a possibility that I may even lose my job, because I can no longer perform essential duties. Although Dr. Zhang made an 'appearance' at followup appointments, at most appointments he spent very little time. After several months of little progress on my recovery, he essentially told me to find another doctor

This surgeon did not explain in detail to patient or family the surgery. This surgeon did not follow up with patient to ensure patient was OK after surgery or educated on his current medical status leaving patient vulnerable and unable to care for self in an appropriate way. Surgeon did not order appropriate pain meds after surgery, patient in excruciating pain and medical staff were not able to get in touch with surgeon to receive orders for pain meds. There fore patient stuck in agonizing pain for 12+ hours after major surgery until surgeon decided to respond to pages. Please do not overlook this review this is as real as it gets.

Dr Zhang has an excellent bedside manner. He is very friendly, takes time to explain the procedure, and shows concern for the patient. I wholeheartedly recommend him.
