Dr. Farha Sultana Tokarz, MD

Dr. Tokarz has seen my son for nearly 7 years. She was the last we needed to see in a long list of specialists attempting to diagnose my son. My son has chronic migraine disorder. Dr. Tokarz was able to diagnose and treat my sons condition effectively. She is attentive and responsive. As my son has matured from a 6 year old to an almost 14 year old, his condition has changed and he has been diagnosed with epilepsy as well. I am also an epileptic so its important to me that my experiences with medications and seizure management are heard and my opinion respected. Dr. Tokarz has been phenomenal in doing so. She treats my son with care and kindness. She listens to us and works with us to find solutions and treatments that work for us. However, she has an no nonsense approach when topics are difficult and situations are concerning. I appreciate that as much as I do her kindness. I don't want a physician who acts like everything is sunshine and rainbows; life for kids with chronic health… conditions is hard and having an honest, tell it like it is team is imperative. I'm so glad Dr. Tokarz heads that team for my son.

In the hospital she went over the EEG footage with her 5 year old son repeated a few times she wasn’t violating hiipa. Worst part she said, My son calls your son Googly eyes. She repeated it again trying to get a reaction thinking it was cute. Our 2 month old is suffering from seizures and she thinks it’s funny her son calls our so. Googly eyes. Unprofessional. She doesn’t listen. And doesn’t have an understanding of what an Epilepsy actually is.
