Dr. Farhad Niroomand, MD

I saw the doctor for a small bump on the bridge of my nose. My concern was that it didn't seem normal and hadn't gone away after a week. I'd previously seen him for skin cancer diagnosis and removal. He took one look at my blemish and mumble something about cancer then proceeded to surgically remove it. The test results came back, not from him, but from a nurse, as it being nothing but a blemish. I now have a permanent scar on my nose. He never personally admitted that he'd made a mistake and only offered to do a filler in that spot. He could have, and should have, tested the tissue or even just tried to get rid of it without surgery. But he didn't and didn't even discuss it with me first. I will see this scar for the rest of my life. He didn't care. Then I got the bill.

I found Dr. Niroomand to be condescending and rather uncaring. He didn't explain his treatment plan well, and reprimanded me for not understanding. He misdiagnosed the presentation of psoriasis, something immediately identified by another doctor, at which point I had to find another dermatologist (whom I love!). I do not recommend this doctor for medical skin issues.

He is a great doctor with great manners. Listens and cares....

He is a cool, smart, funny, oh.... did I say smart? All my family go to see him and everybody likes him.

Office was able to work me in quickly on short notice, even as a new patient.Dr. Farhad is very well qualified and even still teaches at UT SW! I thought he was very intelligent and thorough and very focused on getting a correct diagnosis. Appointment was over quickly, but I felt like I had accomplished what I came for, which was a thorough annual skin check!
