Dr. Farhad Zangeneh, MD

On my first appointment with Dr. Zangeneh I was a mess, I knew it and he confirmed it. He said he needed to have coffee before reviewing my numbers. I was extremely overweight, stomach and bowel issues so tired I could hardly stand it. My mood was not really swell either. He prescribed the appropriate medications, ensured I was purchasing them with the biggest bang for the buck and fully expected that I would follow his directions. I DID and am so happy that I did. Now I feel great, no more stomach and bowel issues, lots of energy and am 80 pounds lighter. He is a fabulous doctor. I am not one to recommend restaurants, doctors or people for jobs. I don’t because there is always a “bad day” at the restaurant and if I recommend someone go it will be the “bad day”. I don’t want my reputation tainted when someone does not live up to expectations. With that said I RECOMMEND Dr. Zangeneh to anyone. All one has to do is listen and follow his directions with the knowledge you are… receiving excellent care.

He doesn’t care his patients but Money! His office didn’t tell me he wasn’t in the network anymore and continued seeing me and asked me to pay the full visit fee! He and his team are greedy and not professional. Don’t go to this doctor or you will regret forever.

So there are two aspects of this review. The First as an doctor he is knowable and we have no complaints about him. The second aspect is how he runs his business and there I have a number of complains he overbooks, runs late, cancels frequently and the latest that finished our relationship was the introduction of charges outside of the payment he is getting from the insurance. The insurance company fee covers the visit but he now introduced a USD 50,- fee for random paperwork. We are considering filing a complain with the insurance company because they might have an issue with this since they pay him for this already. It is a shame but we will move on.

I wish I had checked Dr. Zangeneh reviews before starting seeing him last year. I can't believe I will complain about the same things that other users have said about him in 2017. I've never felt so insulted by a physician before, he is late, very late to his appointments, and while waiting to see him, the piano music in the office is obnoxiously laud, and temperature set to freezing point. When finally meet him for checkups, he's rude, he talked down to me, he doesn't spend the time to help me understand my illness, he gets exasperated if I ask questions, and he'll say everything I'll need to know is pamphlets he gave me already, and in 10 minutes he'll be done with the appointment, which makes me wonder why if he spends so little time with his "patients" (in quotes becase he treats you like a number) he makes you wait for hours? He might know things, and contrary to what he tries to show he's not god, and definitely he's not the best, he lacks so many soft skills required to be a… good physician. I begin to wonder, why someone will belittle you in order to protect his fragile ego?

This guy totally misdiagnosed me for thyroid cancer AND pre-diabetes. He makes careless, snap decisions, based on one set of labs that are inconclusive at best. Additionally, he has a big mouth and rushes people, even when his waiting room is empty.

Dr. Zangeneh is a brilliant endocrinologist. In addition to his top-notch clinical and diagnostic abilities, he takes a look at the whole patient in determining a treatment. After a surgical procedure last year, my gynecologist highly recommended him for a routine checkup of my thyroid function. Dr. Zangeneh is insistent on complete background information: medical history including procedures and surgeries, exact dosage of medication AND supplements, family history, and he wants documentation to back it up. The combination of his superb medical/clinical skills AND his strong intuitive skills to check out something that nags at him make him go the extra mile for the patient. Thanks to the scan he ordered in addition to the blood work (which was not done years ago when I consulted another endocrinologist for another issue), my routine consultation with Dr. Zangeneh ended up with my being diagnosed with a very treatable thyroid cancer. He is, in one word, amazing. I'm actually very… shocked at the negative reviews. If you want an endocrinologist who will dig to find the answers, Dr. Zangeneh is the one. He is focused and doesn't take the easy way to shuffle patients in and out of his office. And his staff is so wonderful/responsive. They call you proactively to set up follow-up appointments and are kind. I am so very grateful to Dr. Zangeneh and his staff for being so thorough and caring. Dr. Zangeneh is honest, straightforward, brilliant and kind. I can't recommend him enough and, as a matter of fact, have given his information to every single one of my friends and family members.

Dr. Zangeneh is an amazing doctor that is extremely thorough. He is very knowledgeable and was the only Dr that was able to get my thyroid in check and back to normal. I have visited many doctors in the DMV before with no luck. I will highly recommend visiting him and letting him use his expertise to get back to being healthy. He knows what he is doing and he is a master at handling all endocrine issues. He will tell you the truth and will get you where you need to be, healthy again!

I visiter Dr. Zangeneh today for the first time, and to be honest with you, I did not know what to expect, I have been reading the reviews especially the 1 star ones and after a little hesitation I decided to go ahead and schedule with him since my personal doctor recommend him highly, he had forewarned me that Dr. Zangeneh may come across as a strong willed person and very serious BUT HE IS VERY SMART and VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE and I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU SEE HIM. I could not shake this words off of my mind, so I saw him today, with all honesty and truthfulness, this doctor is nothing what he was described as in those 1 star rating reviews. I just never seen it that way. Yes, you do have to wait between 30-45 minutes which was no problem to me at all. You need to expect that from a busy doctor who is highly recommended. The visit went very well, the staff were very helpful and made me feel so welcomed. The doctor was very thorough in his examination, he asked me many questions and… paid full attention to my concerns and he records all his notes and observation and keeps a record of it whis is very impressive. He was very delightful, pleasant and very professional. And contrary to what some reviews stated, Dr. Zangeneh actually spent about 20 minutes with me and made sure I understood everything he said. He actually told me that the blood pressure medication that I was taking for 5 years was actually harming me in some way, so he asked me to stop it immediately and he switched it with a better and safe medication, no other doctor was able to detect that. I am not here to dispute all the other low rating reviews, but for me I would have to give him a FIVE STARS rating. And I would encourage anybody, just put the reviews aside and go see yourself and I promise you, you will not regret it. I am 58 year old man and I have had many physical challenges and I have seen many doctors and I do know the good doctor from the not so good ones. Dr. Zangeneh is one of the best and I thank God I took my referring doctor's advice. I am in total peace of mind, knowing that I am under the care of an excellent, caring, professional and experienced doctor. God bless him and bless everybody reading this review.
