Dr. Farid Hakimzadeh

Based on my experience of the treatment by Doctor Hakim, I found him technically very poor and an irritable person with short temper; in addition, he lied to me about my dental issues In September 2022 I visited Dr. Hakim for a minor dental issue of a tooth. Subsequently, Dr. Hakim told me that I must have 8 crowns, two on each side of my Jaw. He told me that as I am financially well off and would have no problem of meeting the expense from my pocket, I must get these 8 crowns installed to get my tooth young again. He explained that crowning is a very simple thing and can be done without anaesthesia, or very little anaesthesia On October 18, 2022 he put 4 temporary crowns on the right side of my mouth. Two weeks later, the temporary crowns were replaced by permanent crowns. In the process he was losing his temper with his assistant and broke one crown. I had to go for the third time to get the fourth crown installed that he had broken in the second session. Unfortunately, my crowned… teeth became very sensitive and started aching upon bite. He kept assuring that these symptoms will go away over time. But, I still have to endure it. I went to two different good dentists and both of them told me that I did not need crown on my other 4 teeth. They confirmed that crown or root canal are major works and should be done only if absolutely necessary. Then I realized Dr. Hakim had unnecessarily put 4 crowns on my teeth. As such, I have lodged a complaint to Office of the Professional Discipline, The NY State Education Department. I have also informed better business bureau. SHASHI VERMA, CPA, BAYSIDE, NY

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. DISHONEST PEOPLE. PLEASE READ THE WHOLE REVIEW BEFORE YOU RISK YOUR DENTAL AND MENTAL HEALTH. I should have listened to the negative reviews, positive reviews are probably from people who work there. Exactly the same thing happened that was mentioned in the reviews. You will go in for one thing and then when you recieve your bill you will see multiple things on it. DONT PAY UPFRONT- YOU WILL NEVER SEE THE CREDIT. DR HAKIMZADA IS VERY DISHONEST! I asked him before operating if everything would be covered since he looked at my insurance plan-(which is a great plan) he said yes. After the appointment they charged me around $280 and was told that my insurance covered 80% and not 100%, and this is the remaining balance. On inquiring about the breakdown of the bill- i was given a credit card invoice and told that i will be given a credit if what i owe is less then what i paid when i get the final bill. Thinking this was normal- i went the second day and was charged… another $150. He wanted to do another root canal the next day and had already chipped half of my tooth before i made it absolutely clear that i only came in for a filling as discussed the day before. Mind you he had already examined my teeth the day before and according to him i only needed some fillings. I was soo unhappy with the whole situation and i could tell all he is looking for is MONEY, so i went to a different dentist for the remaining fillings- and everything was soo much better- no upfront cost and no funny billing business. CLAIMS- soo i finally receive the claims and i was owed $133 credit in total. Went back to him- he gave me a run around saying we will process it once the insurance company pays us. I call the insurance company up- they told me it was an electronic transfer and they have the money already- soo they put me on hold and called him- moments later i was notified by the insurance rep that they will be submitting some more documents and that i should see my refund soon. Fast forward a week or soo- i see another claim out of nowhere showing multiple more services performed and you guessed it- my remaining balance owed to them was $110- soo there goes my credit! I have receits of all the transactions - incase they are bold enough to challange this review and i would take them to court if need be!
