Dr. Farida Zakirhusain Rassiwala, MD

Honestly I looked at the reviews and was worried but it was 2021 and psychs were in short supply and she was the only place I could find accepting patients. 0ffice left a message saying my appt. was at a diffrent time and date than scheduled I called back and was told that "No one ever called you"(I have the voicemail from thier number) Ok whatever. (this would happen once more later on her office staff is possibly worse than she is) Dr. calls MINUTES prior to appt wants $75 NOW (I have no co pay and this was never discussed) or no visit. I pay. Doc diganosed me in 10 min & wrote scrips for some very serious meds that left me feeling sick, disconnected, exhaused and losing muscle control. Next vist another call asking for $75 - (again I have no copay) I pay. Dr. perscribes meds for the effects of 1st meds & increases the dosage because I wasnt feeling better - this process continues for MONTHS to the point I was sleeping most of the day & losing bladder control and never less… despressed. She did eventaully switch me to diffrent meds while assuring me "those aren't side effects of that medication" - turns out they totally are! Weaned off & saw new docs, her diagnosis was totally WRONG and when I didn't feel better she just kept doubling down on a bad diagnosis and very heavy meds I didn't need. I feel so much better now. During our vists she was not only late but ACTUALLY TOOK PERSONAL PHONE CALLS during our visit. Other visits she would use my time to ask me to call my insurance to make sure she got paid. Insurance said her staff kept sending in the wrong codes. I did get the "copay" refuded 6 months later after several back and forth emails. This experience was all in all HORRIFIC.

Do NOT go to this sham if a doctor. She "fired" my husband from her practice because he missed an appointment (he was in the Emergency Room and could not make it, obviously). She refused to refill his meds, for which now he is going through withdrawal. In Nursing they call this patient abandonment. Not sure what they call it if you are a doctor. Also her twit of a receptionist thinks she knows medicine and told my husband too bad if he goes through withdrawal. I will be entering a complaint with the Board for this piece of work who calls herself a doctor.
