I visited the Tyson Eye Golden Gate office in Naples on April 17, 2026, and the experience raised serious concerns about informed consent, financial transparency, and overall clinical oversight. I was asked to sign documents on a screen without being offered printed copies. When I requested them—a basic patient right—the attitude of the staff changed immediately. The Financial Responsibility Form contained unclear language, and no one in the office could explain it. Instead of resolving the issue, they denied care even though I was willing to sign a corrected form. As someone who evaluates processes and risk, the early warning signs were obvious: inconsistent communication, lack of clarity, and no supervisory presence. These issues are consistent with the complications and unexpected costs other patients have reported publicly. There was no supervisor available, no internal review of the incident, and no follow-up. Public information also suggests the practice lacks independent… compliance oversight, which is concerning for a clinic serving a vulnerable population. Many positive reviews focus on friendly staff, which I do not dispute. My concern is not about individual employees but about systemic issues in consent, communication, and accountability that friendly service cannot fix.

Dr. Tyson gave me hope with his kind encouragement. Nurse, Tanya, explained the importance of following the doctor’s orders and sharing information about glaucoma that I was not taking seriously. Thank you both so much!

Appt was right on time. Staff efficient but very personable. Office areas clean but relaxing with attention to fact that lights need dimming for those having had dilating drops instilled.

Very good experience having my cataract removed. I had seen a different surgeon for my first eye and had a nightmare experience. There was surely no comparison. He cares. He’s competent and he follows up with his patients. He also stands by his work.

I had my eye cataracts evaluation appointment today with Dr. F. Tyson, and it was a wonderful experience starting with their front office staff, to the physicians assistant, to my consultation and exam with Dr. Tyson and then the surgery scheduler. Dr Tyson was very professional, informative, and took his time explaining the procedure and willing to answer any questions or concerns that I had. I’m very grateful to have him for my doctor and would recommend him to others.

This was my first time to this office I was amazed how comfortable they all made me feel and how they helped each other. Dr. Tyson was wonderful and very caring. I highly recommend them
