Dr. Fatime Orsolya Goda, MD

I am currently in the hospital and Dr Goda is my doctor for the time being. I am in the renal unit for an infection that is in my catheter site. I am also a type 1 diabetic. I have been here for 4 days and I can not tell you what my exact issues are or how long I will be here for. The doctor doesn't want to stick around to explain my case or answer any questions. She advises a set amount of insulin, whether I eat or not, if my glucose is high or fine. This doesn't work for me. I had been refusing her doses but I thought maybe I should try out her method. 9 units for a glucose of 273 and food intake of 30 grams carbs. This is too much. I am very sensative to insulin and worked hard with my Endocrinologist to set a sliding scale of 1 unit for every 15 grams carbs and 1 unit correction for glucose above 200 and another unit for every 100 after. 9 UNITS IS TOO MUCH. 16 IS TOO MUCH AND THAT IS WHAT SHE WANTED ME TO DO FOR MEALS, REGARDLESS OF FOOD OR GLUCOSE. Beside the fact that I vomit… nearly everything I eat and she wanted set insulin amounts. BEFORE knowing if I could even eat. This is a dangerous doctor whom does not take time with patients and doesn't care. She's here to collect a paycheck. That's it.

I have never had a doctor care enough about me to hold my hand. Most doctors never touch the patient except to examine them. It is refreshing to know that this doctor, Dr. Goda, does.

This hideous doctor was assigned to my case following a gall bladder attack/visit to the ER. Her diagnoses turned out to be totally incorrect, resulting in a hospital stay that was not necessary. Upon eventually reviewing my own chart, I learned that she had come to several inaccurate conclusions based on arbitrary assumptions, and no hard evidence or lab work. She also suffers from a language barrier and should not attempt to communicate with English-speaking persons. It's going to take me months to recover from her errors, negligence, and to correct all of the misinformation now entered in a medical chart. She should not be allowed to practice medicine.
