Dr. Fauzia Khalid Butt, MD

A native of New York, Dr. Butt obtained a bachelor of science degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1993. She then returned to New York and earned her medical degree at New York Medical College. She remained in New York for her general surgery residency, which she completed at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla in 2002. She then pursued additional training in abdominal organ transplantation with fellowships at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center and most recently at the University of California, Los Angeles. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, the American Society of Transplantation and the Transplantation Society. She is the coauthor of several peer-reviewed publications and has presented at the American Transplant Congress in 2009 and at the International Congress of the Transplantation Society in 2010 and 2012.
