Dr. Faye Sherwood Campbell

After an office visit for a physical exam, I asked if I should keep using the medication I have been using since the prescription refill from my previous PCP has expired. She said yes and she would send in a new prescription for the same medication. But she sent in the wrong prescription and when I asked her to make the correction, she sent a new one to the wrong location. Then I received a bill for an “office visit” that she claimed because I messaged her on MyChart about medication, despite not having any visit that day. When I called about this bill the office said she filed it because it “took her time to look at my profile which can constitute as an office visit”. Will not be seeing her again.

Argumentative, doesn't listen or care about patients.

Doesn't listen to patient's symptoms and talks over you. Doesn't like questions, very condescending & rude. Always runs 30+ mins late.

Dr. Campbell has to be the worst doctor I've ever encountered. It's never been easy to communicate with her considering she only works 3 days out the week and rarely responds to voice messages and MyChart emails. I was diagnosed with diabetes in Dec, and I've only received 2 emails from her requesting my blood sugar readings. No request for follow up appointments or labwork, and getting refills has been a 2-3 day ordeal EVERY SINGLE MONTH. After no response for 2 days on my last request and leaving a 2nd message, I was informed I would have to do a walkin in order to get my refill that I'm now out of. You cannot request the refill before it runs it because she will deny it stating it's too early. If you request on the day it expires you won't hear back for at least 2 days. At this visit I had to leave work for in the middle of the day she literally said: "how am I supposed to keep up with however many patients..." when asking why I didn't schedule a follow up appointment. How would… I know when I was due for a follow up appointment when my own doctor has not advised me of that in 5 months? And since when does a medical professional not keep up with their patients!? I PAY for a certified professional to oversee my health and I'm basically told I'M not doing enough and should know when I need to be seen for a condition that is brand new to me. I'm not the person who studied medicine and became a licensed professional. If that were the case I wouldn't need to see a doctor. I've never been more appalled and offended by her attitude and bedside manner. She is definitely in the wrong profession. I feel for anyone under her care who had a serious condition because you are literally on your own. I have scheduled appointments with new doctors and specialist in the Atrium network going forward and this is the last time I will ever spend time, money, and energy on a Novant facility.

I waited in a room, sick while Dr. Campbell ignored my time. I waited over an hour and finally left. I was furious, no communication from her nurse as to why I waited and was never seen by this ghost of a doctor. FURIOUS. Wanda Dianne O'Rear. Never go to her if you value your time. She won't believe me.

NO follow up on the purpose of My primary retired, I'm looking for a new one. I have multiple conditions that are hard to grasp. One of them has flared it which I'm use to but Ignores the entire purpose of the visit, ends up sending me to the ER..which I really hesitated but bullied there by having to sign papers I release her from all responsibility., never again. She is quite guarded when it comes to medication, doesn't want to prescribe them. Apparently wants to farm you out to six different specialists that she can see you have already seen them and they prescribed the medication. My other internists having been following protocol for 25 years with no problems. No response on can you be my primary, sends a message if I don't feel better follow up on the non problem. Wait time was about 1/2 hour which the staff is obsessed with but but their competency is questionable as another patient and I waited another 1/2 for blood work because they didn't bother to tell us to sign in..as the… lab sat there empty the entire time. If you need a quick visit for a pain or cold and no intention of returning she'll do.

Does not keep accurate notes and does not follow up with other Doctors when referring a PT for other tests. You can expect to wait up to (if not longer than) 6 months. The staff at the office is MORE concerned with what they are doing for the up coming weekend and aren't friendly if a PT (whom has to wait cause the DR is busy) doesn't get out by 4pm. It was like a mad dash of people filling the elevator when I got out after my x-ray and waited for Dr. Campbell to look at it. It's been more of a hassle and chasing my own tail for her as a primary care dr.

There was a little bit of a wait, however, I do know they just got a new office manager- so that will change I am sure. I moved here from New York and am always nervous to see a new doctor. Dr. Campbell was very nice, professional, and genuinely cared and gave me her full attention. So far my treatment is working, and I can not be more great full. I would highly recommend Dr. Campbell.

When I meet a new doctor, I am usually ill from nerves, as well as why I am there. She put me at ease right away. She has helped turn my life around from the miserable physical /emotional wreck that left me dreading each day. I consider her a professional friend. Thank you, Dr. Campbell! :-)

Dr. Campbell seemed quick to make a negative diagnosis, and very resistant to a holistic approach. However, she was very slow to show - I waited only briefly in the lobby, but then for over an hour in the exam room in my paper gown. She did apologize, but I was pretty irritated by that time. I will probably not go back.
