Dr. Federico G Seifarth, MD

I don't know where to start. He has been with my daughter since she was born. I am truly blessed that he has been with us through everything..the good, the bad and the ugly. He treats his patients as if they are his own. He is very knowledgeable, patient and genuine and will go above and beyond for the patients he treats. There is so much more that I could say but he is not a doctor that likes to be put on a pedestal..he is the true epitome of what a doctor should be.

Both of my daughters have been seen by Dr. Siefarth, and I could not adequately express how exceptional his care was. He demonstrated extensive knowledge and explained everything in a clear and informative manner, ensuring that we fully understood each step of the process. His dedication to our understanding was evident throughout, and the thoughtful follow-up calls further reflected his commitment to his patients’ well-being. We are truly grateful for the outstanding level of professionalism and compassion he provided. HIGHLY recommend!

Dr. Seifarth was very helpful during our stay at Ruby Memorial Children’s Hospital! He’s awesome! He thoroughly explained the diagnosis for our child, answered questions, and explained why he did or did not want to proceed with different courses of action. He told us that he gives advice for treatment as if he were treating his own children, and it was very evident! He was caring, knowledgeable, and personable! I fully trusted him with my child’s wellbeing!

I highly recommend Dr. Seifarth! He is very kind, attentive and is an awesome surgeon. He always takes the time to answer all of our questions and makes it easy to understand everything. We know that our daughter Zoey is always in good hands she feels so comfortable with him. He has performed many difficult colon surgeries on our daughter . It’s nice to fully have a surgeon we can trust that our daughter will be in good hands. Dr. Seifarth and his whole team are just amazing and wonderful!

Dr. Seifarth has exceptional bedside manner. He takes time to fully explain and even draw out pictures of the issue and exactly how he can fix it. Dr. Seifarth went above and beyond by having his procedural team give update calls during my three year old daughter's surgical procedure. Providing me with information during the procedure helped to calm my nerves and feel more comfortable. He not only was caring for daughter but also for me and my husband. This is true family-centered care that sets Dr. Seifarth apart from other providers.

Dr. Seifarth is an incredible surgeon. Our boy had an emergency surgery that required some critical decisions. We believe that he not only saved our boy's life but gave him the best possible quality of life possible. He was very clear in helping us understand what was going on with drawings and took the time to answer all questions we had. He even remembered our son's case in detail after returning from vacation. You can tell that he really cares about his patients; we'd recommend him to any and everyone.

Dr. Seifarth has taken excellent care of our baby boy. He has been with us since birth and he is now 3 months old, he was born with a rare disease called Hirschsprungs diseases, Dr. Seifarth has preformed 3 surgeries on our baby, and we couldn’t ask for anyone better. His bedside manner is excellent, he answers all questions and concerns, he drew us pictures to better explain how he was going to preform the surgery on our baby. He is super kind and knowledgeable and gives total reassurance and takes his time explaining and making sure we understand. He is the absolute best!

Our baby girl was born at 25 weeks and 11 days into life she needed a surgery to remove 4 inches of her intestine due to 3 perforations. We were scared but Dr. Seifarth and his team walked us through everything. He even drew us a picture to help us better understand. He was very calm and understanding to all of our questions and concerns no matter how small. He took the time and made us feel like we were his only patients. Our little angel has since undergone 2 more surgeries with Dr. Seifarth to reverse the original and reconnect her intestines. He has been amazing with her and us! Always coming to the bedside to check on us and make sure everything is perfect! We couldn't be happier with his work and her outcome!

Our daughter recently spent a week in the hospital after an emergency surgery conducted by Dr. Seifarth. I cannot speak highly enough of the level of care she received. Dr. Seifarth and his team were excellent communicators, very knowledgeable and compassionate, patient, thorough, and attentive. Not only did he ensure she was extremely well taken care of but went above and beyond to ensure that we were, as well. In addition, the level of care and kindness we experienced from everyone we encountered at WVU Medicine Children's was top notch. I would highly recommend Dr. Seifarth and WVU Medicine.

Our son had a duplication cyst located in the bowel that was enlarging and without intervention would cause a bowel obstruction and other issues. We were referred to Dr. Seifarth and we are so glad that he was our son’s surgeon. He has a pleasant demeanor, with a compassionate bedside manner. He helped us walk through the diagnosis and what surgery entailed. He and his team were so caring and thoughtful; they called us at different stages during his surgery to update us, which helped soothe our nerves. His surgery was a little more complex involving his appendix and an obstruction that had started in the small intestine. This made the surgery take extra time but Dr. Seifarth was not phased by it at all. He explained everything to us so well. We were confident in his care. Post-Op Dr. Seifarth and his team were available for questions and were prompt with returning calls. He and his team really made the whole process the best that it could be. We are so grateful! Our son is healed and… thriving!
