Dr. Feiyu Chen, MD

He very rude has a real bad attitude it's so awful he don't even check your medical records thats right in front of him. He just look at you and judge you by how you look not caring about your medical history he is a waste of time

I read Dr. Chen's reviews prior to going, but because my PCP made an 'urgent referral' three days prior, I decided to go ahead and see him. Unfortunately, the reviews were similar based on my experience. He told me everything was 'normal,' although some of my blood tests clearly were not normal. After I pointed this out, he said I needed to see a Rhumetologist, which I already do. These symptoms are different and involve muscle weakness. He said that it didn't make sense that if I was having these symptoms that I didn't go to the ER. I explained that as a professor I have a lot of flexibility with how I do my work, and I made adaptations to my work in order to accomodate the symtpoms, thinking (until last week when I had double vision, slurred speech, severe muscle weakness, coordination and balance problems) that it was stress related. I responded, after he challenged me several times (implying I was making up my symptoms) that I understand that he does not understand what I'm… experiencing (at which point I decided I would not be back. He said I was right that he didn't understand. Then he said he could order an MRI if I wanted one. I did not have him order an MRI becuase based on his assessment there is no medical necessity, so that just seemed fraudulant. My father has a neuromuscular disorder that took 10 years (and my mom searching the internet) to figure out before he got a correct diangosis. My cousin went from running marathons to a walker before they figured out her autoimmune problem, treated it, and now she is running marathons again. Contrary to Dr. Chen's culturally or gender biased belief, just because he doesn't understand something does not mean that a woman is crazy.

Just an awful experience! Left in tears and asked to see another doctor on next visit.

Saw him following my son's seizure. Did not seem very concerned and felt no rush for any diagnostics to find out what was going on with him. He had memory loss and was very " fuzzy" but Dr. Chen saw no need for promptness of any diagnostic.

He came to the room with his mind made up about what was wrong with me. Didn't listen to anything I said, didn't care about my symptoms. I left the office not knowing anymore about my condition than when I entered. Please find anyone besides this man, don't waste your time or money.

Being treated for recurring migraine headaches. Ended up in the hospital for severe migraine approximately one year ago. Dr. Chen took case at that time. He relooked at prescriptions and made a few changes. Since that time I have had few to no problems. He has always been courteous, shown no problems of being discourteous or a know-it-all. I would be more than happy to send my friends to see him. Has a very good bedside manner. His staff is extremely courteous. I called on a Monday and was in to see him on Wednesday. My appointment was at 9:30, which is the time I entered the patient room, and Dr. Chen was in the room to see me no less than 5 minutes later. He is thorough with his diagnosis, following through with the needed tests to make sure all bases are covered. He is not one for a lot of "chit-chat", which is fine by me. I am there for medical care, not a social visit!

Agree with the previous review, one of the most arrogant doctors I have met. Acts like he knows everything there is to know and he couldn't diagnose me even though there was a clear problem. Basically said there was nothing wrong with me and sent me on my way! If you want a useless opinion and a waste of your time then Dr. Chen is your man.

He made a decision about my condition before he walked into the room or talked to me about my symptoms, then he was gone again. Degrees and education do not always help with bedside manner. For the couple minutes he was in there, he was kind of antagonistic, and more concerned with showing that he knows everything, rather than looking into the problem or asking me about it.
