Dr. Felicty Araba Quansah, MD

She has taken excellent care of both my husband and I. We are both diabetics, my husband is 83, and I am 78 years old. She did my cataract surgery. I have utmost confidence in her skills as a doctor. My husband had tears in his retina which she caught in a routine exam. She moved Heaven and Earth to get him to a retina specialist immediately, and saved his eyesight. She is a Godly and gifted woman.

My mom was suppose to have cataract surgery with her. she waits till we are at the same day surgery center. check-in, paided, and waiting on her to inform me the clearance letters are only good for 30 days. We went to mom's dr to get updated clearance on the following monday and this doctor calls the same afternoon and tells me to find my mom another dr. Very unprofessional conversation. She had no clue as to what she was talking about.

This is the worst, least professional doctor of any kind I have ever been to. I should have left before I even saw the doctor, but I needed a note for work. First warning sign: The tech came to get me and took me to a room. I could hardly understand her because of her heavy accent. She dud not explain what she was trying to do- just told me to place my chin in the little cup and lean forward. I did. She then realized the machine was not on. She couldn't get it to come on. Called someone in to see if he could figure it out. Finally did. I realize after the fact it is the outdated "puff of air" eye pressure machine. Then she gives me a puzzled look and asks if I still have my contacts in. Well, yes, I do considering I cannot see without them and nobody has asked me to remove them. So she says "oh, we'll we can't do this" and takes me to another room. She asks me a bunch of questions including how to spell my medications (restasis, which is for your EYES- really??). Fiddles… around. Doctor comes in, makes no eye contact, and acts depressed. Re-asks same questions. Puts stinging drops in my eyes again with no warning that they will sting, or what she is doing. Contacts still in!! Finally tells another tech to "get me something" for my contacts and leaves. No mirror over the sink. Nobody washed their hands. Original tech takes me back to eye puff machine. Ouch! We go to yet another room. She does the most awful exam ever. Cannot get the equipment positioned properly in front of me eyes so have to sit crooked. Doctor pops in and rifles through papers on counter. She is looking for the medical records I had my former eye doctors office fax over (they were out of network with new insurance). Can't find. Asks other tech if he has seen them. He doesn't remember so he checks in computer and they have already been scanned in. Really reassuring. Doctor comes back. Barely speaks. Shines 3 different very bright lights in my eyes and tells me to open my eyes wider. Hello, it hurts!!!!! I can't!! I'm here because of a condition that makes that painful...! The medical equipment looked outdated. The tech didn't know what she was doing. The doctor was unfriendly and not informative. Come back for a follow up?? Not happening. Here we go to a third eye doc!
