Dr. Feng Xiao, MD

My mother was taken to UCMC from a sub acute care facility where she was receiving rehabilitative services following a massive stroke. Dr. Xiao (pronounces “chow” by the nurses when we were there) was incredible! I was blown away by his bedside manner, medical knowledge, care and attentiveness. So much so that I searched for him online tonight after getting home from the hospital just to leave this review. It is not often you come across a physician who is this impressive. He held my mom’s hand as he told her about the pulmonary embolisms she was experiencing and I have complete faith in her recommended treatment based on his ability to explain the risks and potential outcomes of each option available. It’s easier to sleep tonight knowing there are still doctors like this who take the time to thoroughly explain things, and who go above and beyond by showing compassion and empathy to patients during what is often some of the most frightening times of their lives.

I found Dr. Feng to be wonderful. He took a lot of extra time with me. He called me up a couple days later to see how I was doing. I actually got on the internet for the purpose of seeing if he had a general practice in the area. I would switch doctors to go with him.

I saw Dr.Xiao in the emergency room at Upper Chesapeake Hospital. I found him to be very through and he very kindly called to follow up on how I was doing.You very seldom get that kind of treatment.Upper Cheasapeake is very lucky to have in their emergency room.

If you are taken to the ER at Upper Chesapeake, request you do not get him.Two bad experiences with him; does not discuss diagnosis and treatment unless you demand it; actually did a misdiagnosis once; not pleasant to deal with
