Dr. Ferdinand Curameng Armas, MD

Called to make an appointment. Lady named betsy says she will return my call. Sh has to approve my insurance. 1 week later still no call. 2nd call maam u never returned my call. I told u office policy. Do i need to tell u again....me...ahhh no..... I told. U also u have to come in to make appt. And i also told u its a 20 dollar deposit. ( i said excuse me im on medicare and tenncare.....she then hung up in my face wheni ask to speak to her boss.... Omg

Whenever I see Dr. Arms he always makes me feel like he cares and remembers little details I talked about in the last session. He makes sure to ask questions listen to any and every corner before dishing out meds and he truly wants to help you become better! I'd definitely recommend him, and I'm so thankful for all of his help.

I have seen Dr. Armas for years. He has always listened intently to my thoughts and concerns. He makes medicine changes as needed. He has treated me with respect and kindness. He has helped me greatly. His lovely wife is kind and concerned about the patients as well.

This doctor is a joke. He has absolutely no idea about treating Mental Health issues. He spends very little time with you and cuts you off when you are trying to tell him whats going on. His answer is just to keep adding medications. Also, will just keep increasing your doses. I was prescribed two different Benzo's, a total of 150 a month. On top of that he had me on the highest dose you can be prescibed at one time, a very strong sleeping medication and a very high dose of an antidepressant. I was so heavily sedated that I couldn't even function. I was in a very bad car accident with an !8- wheeler and it broke my neck(my c-2), I almost died. I tried to come off the medication and couldn't so I had to go to rehab and be detoxed. He is a good Doctor only if you are wanting to be sedated or high. Other than that I would not recomend him to my worst enemy.

0 is my rating of this Dr Armas. I would never recommended this Dr. To anyone. First of all the staff is just as rude as he is. I don't know how he got a degree in this psychiatry unless it was given yo him for free He does not listen to anything you have to discuss with him. I would start to discuss what I have been feeling and all of my feelings etc. He would cut me off and start writing meds I take not even acknowledging anything I said. He has a bell he rings for his robotic staff to bring in the next person. The office door would open walking in next patient. I would tell him every appointment he does not listen to what I say. He would reply by handing my med and .telling the next patient to come on in he rang the bell for. Omg the staff would lie about any and everything they had to fo. Any paperwork needing to be done; they would tell you it was done and it wad not. I tell you there is a new staff every other month. They will not stay and zI understand why. After many months: I… find it odd that I have NEVER seen an African American ever in that office. He had 1 lady at front desk but she walked out and quit in a couple of months. Never seen a black patient. He only wants your money but does not care less about your wellbeing. He has this one robot at front desk whose only job is to collect your money. If you have any balance at all; there is no discussion; you will not get an appointment for the next month. There needs to be a review done about the overall practice of that facility, the doctor, and staff. There is something Definitely not right in that office. What was suppose to help me made my condition worst. I finally left for good and CAUTION: Don't Go there!!

At times the is doctor will not allow the patient to speak. Considering that psychiatry is based on self-report this is incredible unprofessional. Being interrupted and told to stop speaking simply b/c he does not agree with what is being said is a bizarre experience within a practice that is based on patients explaining how they experience life and see the world.

Visiting Dr. Armas was a bad experience! It is hard to get the truth from his office. He has no time to listen to the patients because he is overbooked and his office is full of people. He doesn't collaborate with, nor respect, other doctors for the benefit of the patient. He, nor his office staff, do not return telephone calls. He has a terrible bedside manner! I will not go back there nor recommend anyone else to him.

I am 45 yo and and highly educated. I have been diagnosed since the age of 17 and over the years have had 3 differnt highly respected MDs agree with this diagnosis. I have been on 3 medications, for the last 10 plus years, that work great with very little side effects. I came to see this "doctor" to continue my medications as I relocated here. I work in the healthcare field and have a Master's degree myself. I was a new patient with this person and in less than 10 mins he informed me that my diagnosis was wrong and wanted to change all my medicaitons and put me on medications that I had just told him made me become very sympotmatic and sick. This man, I can't call him a doctor, HAS NO ABILITY TO LISTEN AND JUST DOES NOT CARE. I pay/my insurance pays, for him to LISTEN, this is the one characteristic and quality his chosen profession requires and HE CHOOSES NOT TO DO IT. I walked out of the visit and will never be back, I believe he may have purchased his degree online as this can… not be what is available as a physician. If you need help, DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THIS MAN.
