Dr. Ferdinand Marzan Ramos, MD

I went to him back in Feb 2019 for lower back pain. They scheduled a steroid injection. I went in for the injection and started my workers comp havent gotten back to then. They said I needed to procedure and that they would put it under my regular insurance and switch it once they got the approval. Got it done because hes a doctor and knows what hes doing. Well I had more pain after the injection than before. I had repeatedly called to make sure they put it under workers comp insurance. I never saw a bill so I assumed it had been done. Now today I get a summons to go to court because they are sueing me for the unpaid bill. It should've been workers comp not me. They never switched the insurance over. It's a good thing I didnt go back for 2nd injection and went to a specialist for my back. Not this rude and pushy doctor whose billing department. Oh and they provided their lawyer with a financial statement that I signed in their office not in the surgery center. So they are using that… form to try and get me to pay for it when it shouldn't be me who has to pay.

This doctor is always telling me I need a pain stimulator and I keep telling him I can’t afford it at this time . I have had 2 back surgeries and am still in constant pain . He responded to me with you have had 2 back surgeries and should not be taking pain meds . He has reduced my fentenyl patches from 50 mcg to 25mcg with out telling me and now down to 12 mcg and I will only be getting 5 and then he is stopping them , I have needed a PA for 3 weeks now for my patches and still don’t have them . Now he has cut down my Norco to 7.5/325 . I feel like every month he is changing my meds without telling me and is going to cut me off completely. He says there is an opioid crisis and I understand that because I work with addicts every day. I don’t and never have abused my meds . He does not listen to anything that I tell him . He also told me that I need to decide what more important to me when he mentions the pain stimulator . It’s not that I’m not willing to try it but I can’t afford… another medical bill at this time nor can I afford to be off work . I think he is the most unsympathetic doctor I have ever dealt with .

My experience with dr Ramos was terrible and bordering on abuse. He is insensitive and not a very good person. He should not be allowed to practice medicine. All he did was yell at me. Without an examination or review of my records. He came into the exam room at started yelling at me and said I should see a psychiatrist for my back pain. I would be OK seeing a psychiatrist if it would help. I left the office in tears. I would not recommend him as a physician.

I have put off going to a pain management center for a few years. I finally decided to take my family dr's advice and he referred me to Dr Ramos. Very good experience. He was able to understand my problem and gave me options for treatment.

I spent 5 minutes with this so called doctor, he put me on the table pushed on my body for less than 1 minute asked me a few questions and then referred me to a Drug Addiction treatment center??? What an Idiot!I went there looking for help for pain and left there being insulted and humiliated, I went straight to the Hospital administrator and lodged a complaint.If you go to this doctor dont say you were not warned!He is the worst kind of doctor. Its disgusting that hes able to treat people this way.
