Dr. Ferdinando Urbano, MD

New patient, some of the staff is very kind and courteous, mainly the ones that do the breathing tests before the appt. First appt was several hrs, I finally meet Dr Urbano but the conversation was between him and Nurse Practioner..was treated as if I wasn't even in the room. I missed an appt so because of this, I will not be able to see my Dr for 3 months. Called the office, extremely sick and spoke with a PA and she basically told me she was sorry she couldn't help me that nobody was in the office that day. I had ? re medication to take and she told me I could have gotten the answer if I called the pharmacy. I thought this was a bit inappropriate, Thje already gave me wrong meds, ended up having pneumonia instead of a sinus infection for what they treated me for. When I called and told them I still had breathing problems they only called in more prednisone instead of seeing me to find out what the underlying problem was. I feel like when Im there, people are in and out of my… room but ask the same over and over again? By the time the Nurse practioner comes in, or PA, they ask the same questions again!!!! I feel as if they really are unorganized. I called the office but who heard of none being in the office on a monday? I just needed some questions answered and was extremely afraid because my breathing was so labored and I wanted someone to tell me something!!! So its time to leave this practice. I was referred by a family member but I was also told a few days ago she may be leaving as well. By the way, I met my Dr once in a year â?¦.this just doesn't seem normal at all. I never seen an office run this way in my life. It reminds me of a 3 ring circus and half the people that are in and out of your room, you have no clue who they are and what is strange is when they come in they ask you the same questionsâ?¦what meds are you taking, do you have any allergiesâ?¦basic stuff but I found it odd because I was asked this already when I first arrived. I work in the medical field so I get why certain things are asked What I can't accept is when I am as severely ill as I was and was treated with disrespect. I don't do it to others and don't appreciate it being done to me. Most of the staff are wonderful, its the professionals that need to take another look at themselves. So disgusted!
