Dr. Fern Wirth, MD

I saw Dr. Wirth regarding a bump on my chin - she dismissed it as a mole. Two years later it was still there and a little bigger. I went to another dermatologist who was more concerned and biopsied it - turned out to be basal cell carcinoma. Wish she had caught it when it was smaller - would have had a smaller scar and simpler surgery. Stay away.

I came in for a changing mole and Dr. Wirth looked me over entirely and took a biopsy of the mole. She called me a few days later to let me know I had melanoma and took the time to answer all my questions. I have since had it removed and have the utmost of confidence that I am in competent hands.

When I first met Dr. Wirth, she had sort of a rough bedside mannerism, and I stated it to my wife. Maybe it is with a first visit for a patient, because she has stepped up to the plate, big time, in her mannerisms, decor, and professionalism in recent visits. She is now an absolutely a pleasure to see and her diagnoses are very accurate. For what it's worth, she is highly recommended by me.

It will be good for doctors to explain the medicines they prescribe, ask if the patient may have used it and consider alternatives instead of what they are used to.

Dr. Wirth was able to diagnose my skin condition missed by several prior dermatologists and finally got my skin clear. I was a little dubious at first as her approach differed from my last dermatologist. I am so glad that I went to see her and am grateful to have clear skin!

I have had a great relationship with Dr. Wirth over at least 10 years. I am prone to skin tags and have had one cancerous growth requiring Moh's surgery. I see Dr. Wirth every six months and have always found her reliable and competent. I have an adult daughter who had seen two other dermatologists for a skin rash that was not properly diagnosed and continued to persist. Dr. Wirth was able to diagnose it properly, and it is now under control.

Dr. Wirth diagnosed a skin cancer on my face that was removed by a surgeon. The whoel experience with Dr. Wirth was very positive. Highly recommended.

A poor professional, not to say incompetent. Paid very little attention to what I was saying, made no efforts to figure out the cause of my problem. Tried to cut the appointment short and handed out a standardized treatment that didn't help.

Wonderful experience. Calm and competent.
