If reading this to consider this office, don’t consider this office. It’s literally a miserable experience from their answering service, which only extension 4 works, to scheduling to following up. Save yourself the aggravation and stress and see another doctor. 6 months for an appointment and another two months to follow up for procedure results. Staff completely overwhelmed and miserable, attitude towards patients. Minimum 2 hour wait time for appointment to see a PA, not even the dr and they’ll tell you it’s with the dr but it’s not. PA is informative.

Horrible experience! I went with my daughter to her appointment with Dr. Ibarra to receive the results of a liver biopsy. Arrived 30 minutes before her appointment and waited over 3 hours to be seen. Other patients waiting in the lobby were also saying they have been waiting for 3-4 hours. Some said this is the normal wait time. Around the 3-hour mark, they called her to take her vitals. When the nurse was done, he said to go back to the waiting room and the doctor will call us. I asked the nurse if the long wait was normal, he laughed and said this is fast, the wait is usually longer. Once we were called in to see Dr. Ibarra, his greeting to us was "what do you need". My daughter said I'm here to get the results of the liver biopsy. He proceeded to review his computer going over her test results. Speaking to himself saying well that's weird, and this doesn't make sense, and why was this a positive result and this one a negative. Closed his eyes and was thinking out loud… reviewing her file. He then told us that he would like to have her do a liver biopsy. We told him she already had the procedure done two weeks ago and that todays appointment was to review the results. He asked her who did the procedure and my daughter told him "You did". He asked her where was it done and she told him "next door". Asked her again when was it done. After we told him the date, my daughter told him before and after the appointment, the nurses and paperwork all said she was having a liver biopsy. He then told her that was not true. He walked out and asked the receptionist to get the results. He had left the door open and could hear her tell him that it was after 6 pm and they were closed. He walked into another room and assisted another patient. When he came out of the other room, he came back to us and said she needed to have a liver biopsy. Of course, we went around in circles explaining to him that it was done and he walked out saying no she did not. She followed him to the hallway and asked what procedure was performed. She was under anesthesia and had something done. He told her he did not know because he did not have the results and for her to figure it out. My daughter walked out crying and freaking out because she now does not know what happened to her body while under anesthesia. I told Dr. Ibarra, please understand my daughter's frustration, we have been going through this since she was in jr. high (she is now 25 years old) and we still don't have a diagnosis. He cut me off and said, "No, I don't understand and I don't care". He walked away from me. I followed him a few steps and said what are the results from whatever procedure she had done a couple of weeks ago, his answer to me was "I don't know, figure it out". He then walked into another room and before he closed the door I heard him say "What are you doing here". I walked over to the receptionist and asked for a copy of my daughter's file because she will not be returning to this office. I can go on and on about how they overbook their patients, how unorganized and unsanitary their staff is, or how unprofessional Dr. Ibarra is to not take 10 minutes before entering our room to review her chart, or the terrible greeting of "what do you need"... I can't get over the rude, unprofessional, insensitive remarks to my face when he said "I don't care" and "figure it out"!!! NEVER have I ever heard of a medical professional EVER say that to anyone. Dr. Ibarra I hope you read this and never treat anyone like this again! You took an oath to practice medicine with integrity, humility, honesty, and compassion!

My father went to his appointment recently that was set up in the afternoon, he along with many others there waiting had the same appointment time, they all waited a long time. When the Dr finally seen him he was very cold hearted, short answered my father regarding some health concerns and sent him on his way. You can tell he does this for the money and nothing else, he’s a much older gentleman that should be retired already. Definitely asking to get transferred to another practice.

Friend, had difficulty getting results three months after procedure no phone calls wasn’t able to get a hold of anyone to find out results!!!

bottom line this doctor and his staff don't care about you!!!! doctor prescribe medicine and then he never send it to pharmacy im been bleeding here and he don't care about sending med over to pharmacy I been calling for 2 weeks now went in person and still can not get my medicine!!! bad doctor bad service

They scheduled an appointment for me when the doctor wasn't even in the office! A nurse practitioner saw me instead. She was very nice but I'm paying to see an MD, not a nurse. I suggest you go to another gastroenterologist.

No bedside manner

Does not let you speak due to continuous interruption, he questions whether you are in pain or not; judges you if he thinks you shouldn't be in pain and you are, raises his voice to his clients, the environment seems VERY hostile, and doesn't spend a fair amount of time on his clients. He doesn't like working with multiple people at once, and worst of all he doesn't treat you in a warm way; on the contrary, he raises his voice at you and can't communicate in a professional manner. Highly recommend trying to avoid this Doctor, he is so unprofessional and doesn't treat you well. However the nurses were courteous, it was the doctor whom I am highly dissatisfied with.

DONT GO to Dr. Ibarra. He is very rude and his office makes a lot of mistakes and tries to make it seem like it's your fault. My grandfather who is 90 years old had an appointment with Dr. Ibarra which I called twice before the appointment to make sure it was really with him and not the doctor he has working for him. So we go to the appointment after waiting two hours we find out its with a nurse practitioner. That tell us if we want to see Dr. Ibarra to go to his other office & we would be seen Right away. We get to his other office to find a full waiting room. The front desk were very rude. They wouldn't give me his license number that was on the wall they just kept saying they don't know it. So I had to take a picture of it and zoom in. The doctor couldn't even come out to talk to me he told his assistant if they don't want to wait than he can just reschedule. It's not that we didn't want to wait we had already waited two hours at his other office because his office made a mistake… not us.
