Dr. Fernando Carlos Malamud, MD

He was the worst doctor I had to deal with during my cancer treatment. He has skipped town, and no one can locate him. Current Dr.'s cannot obtain his patients medical records, either. He stopped taking my insurance as soon as my chemo was finished so I could not follow up afterwards. When I began treatment he was nasty to me, and it got worse each day. He was not informative. He always said "do not worry about it" whenever I asked any questions. He treated me very poorly, because I questioned him on what and why he was doing things. I got Hand and Foot syndrome from the 2nd medicine he gave during chemo, and it was not listed as a side effect. I have chemo induced Neuropathy (CIPN), and it is really bad and getting worse day by day. He would come into the patient chemo area eating food! Right in front of us. It was insensitive and very rude, as was his attitude.

He was arrogant, pompous and in spite of the fact that I have stage 4 cancer,was tearful and scared to death, he barely looked at my face- kept staring at my chest. I could not get out of there fast enough.

This doctor knows his stuff and is excellent in determining treatment. Little quirky, but very, very smart.

If I could rate Dr Malamud zero stars, I would. He called late afternoon the day before scheduled 1st round of chemo to say he was firing my mom as a patient because she had sought a second opinion from a MD Anderson affiliated doctor. After doing lab work administering pre chemo injections and scheduling chemo he waiting until the day before to terminate the patient doctor relationship. This is a malicious delay of care and unethical. He should be ashamed.

I have had many doctors in the past. I have been diagnosed 2 times with breast cancer. I have never had another doctor spend so much time with me talking about our plan of action. He is VERY caring along with his staff.He is very patient as I have been struggling to pay my co-pays. He has an excellent bedside manner and I could not have found a better doctor to treat me and my cancer. I am very grateful for him and I believe he is an angel on earth!!!

This man is arrogant and is there for two reasons. Money and power. Horrible experience with this man and his entire staff. I left and found another place to be treated for my cancer and it was a good thing.

This man is arrogant, short tempered, and will not give you needed treatment until you pay him up front for your portion of his fee after your insurance company has paid. I left after one visit and found a better doctor.
