Dr. Fernando Oscar Recio, MD

Tried to make an appointment. Front desk i formed me, four times that since he is not on my insurance, the “consult” is $230.00 NOT INCLUDING any tests-PAP or Colposcopy, etc. Really? Just to say hey how are you? I had surgery with him and $230 just to say what’s up? Time for a new doctor.

It’s not that Dr Recio was unprofessional during visit. However , I never spoke to him after my ultrasound. Instead, his nurse practioner had the Gaul to tell me to have a hysterectomy. I’m a snowbird from NY. When 4 months passed, I had a 2nd ultrasound at NYU hospital. The results suggested I get a tissue sample cause of a tiny area of thickening in endometrium. Turned out no cancer and no need for a hysterectomy. It was a difficult D&C as i ended up in the emergency room For hemorrhaging . But in the end, I’ll heal. Dr Recio had the nerve to write me a letter saying if I don’t get a evaluation soon, I will have health issues. That was a very scary letter to receive. Needless to say, I don’t recommend this Dr. especially since he never called me with the results. His nurse practitioner should not be able to speak for him.

Lonnnngggg Story, bottom line, do not go to this QUACK of a doctor!!!

Very nice staff all the girls were super nice, Dr.Fernando Recio is a very compassionate man made me very comfortable there are no words. He really made us feel so comfortable

I was referred to Dr. Recio and I am so thankful. He was truly a caring Dr., took his time with me, and answered every question my husband and I asked. I had to have surgery, and he explained everything to us. I felt as though I was in extremely good hands. I even got a hug from him, assuring me everything was ok. I would highly recommend him!

Just had surgery, Dr Recio is the best awesome, loving and caring for his patients Bless him.

I have to say I am so disappointed in this office its hard to even write this right now. The front desk was probably rudest person I have ever dealt with in the medical field and I use to work in it for 15 years. The nurse practitioner Nicole was so rude! Didn't want to hear anything I had to say or even hear my concerns. Cut me off several times. I literally walked out and broke down in the car. NEVER GO HERE! Dr. Recio barely works here anymore. I was recommend here by 3 different people all said doctor is great but nurse and staff suck . I have to say since he is barely here at this office anymore I will not be going back. I am reporting this office to my insurance and I hope they don't pay for this visit. I left the office and got an appointment elsewhere same day and all my concerns were addressed I wasn't told I was overeating. Plus the nurse needs to get informed , my condition doesn't go away just because you remove my ovaries.

In March 2012 while on vacation in Florida I became very sick....intestinal blockage and ovarian cancer recurrence. Went to Boca Regional Hospital and had surgery with Dr.Yeguez and Dr.Recio. They did NOT know me. I was a snowbird! However, they cared for me like a family member. My family flew in from NY and were greeted with warm hugs. Dr.Recio was fantastic. I will never forget them both and pray for them each day. Great hospital too and I am treated at Sloan Kettering in NYC so I know what's good!! Best wishes to all there.

There are so many unanswered questions It was shocking to me & my family & all who were with me that this Dr completely turned his back on my daughter I will never be able to understand it. The very least that is deserved is an explaination or communication as to why he did what he did. My daughter died without a word from this Dr. I never heard from him or his staff. This was an office & Dr she had been seeing for treatment for 3 years. I do not blame him for my daughters death but for the lack of following his oath as a Dr & being present as a caring Dr for her in her last moments of life
