When a patient has put there lives on hold and dropped everything to make a Mayo trip come together, the hotel expenses, eating out, all the money we’re paying to the Mayo Clinic, traveling 9 hours the last thing you expect from a Dr is to be talked to with so much disrespect and made to feel as if the circumstances you’ve lived with your entire life means absolutely nothing to a dr you had so much hope and trust in. I was so disappointed in this man and his lack to give the patient a chance to talk and explain where my tears were coming from . He called his nurse in once my husband came into the room and I’m guessing he was assuming I was about to talk to him the same way he had just spoken to me, He advised them both I was frustrated, where did that even come from, I was hurt by the attitude of this man. I was crying because of the hurt one man can make on one life and he had no clue the damage he was causing me . I’ve never seen a dr treat a patient the way he treated me that day.… I had so much hope in the Mayo Clinic but one man took it all away from me.

Excellent physical assessment and plan of care. I wanted a second opinion and that was established after all others ruled out with thorough evaluation, X-rays and labs. I feel at peace.

Dr. Rivera is the most intelligent, kindest and committed Dr. I have ever come across. I would trust my life in his hands anyday.

I would never recommend this doctor. He was a nightmare to work with and understand. The billing was not accurate and along with my insurance company we went round and round in circles with trying to get our billing coded correctly and be treated with respect, neither happened.
