Your Review: Dr Safdie and his PA Tony were short of miracle workers. After a similar surgery two years ago that ended being botched out, Dr Safdie took care of my hernia on my diaphragm and the road to breathing easier can begin. His kindness, attention to detail, and listening ear is helping my recovery as we speak. Sincerely thankful that his surgeon scheduler, Khristielle Abril, recommended him to me a year ago. Her attention to detail and going beyond my expectations really made my stay at Mt Sinai comfortable and eased my anxiousness. Very grateful to be a patient at Mt Sinai. The nurses in the AM and PM shift took such good care of me. I remember Adriano and Ashley being so attentive and kind and treated me like family. As if I was the only one on the floor. Hospital stays can be scary, but they made it comfortable and easy for me. The occupational therapists really helped me with rehab when I couldn't breathe well due to my surgery incisions. I have to go back to operate on my… left hernia and I know that I am in very good hands. Also a nice beachfront view from my room wasn't too shabby. My friends in Ft Myers were jealous lol. Thank you Mt Sinai for great care and showing me kindness and love.

Dr. Safdie is hands-down the worst thoracic surgeon I’ve encountered. He gave my MOM a false negative result that delayed critical treatment, surgery as a result putting my MOM health at serious risk. On top of that, he’s consistently late for appointments—sometimes by hours—showing zero respect for patients’ time. His arrogance is unbearable; he dismisses concerns with a condescending attitude and acts like he’s doing you a favor by showing up. Avoid him at all costs if you value your health and dignity. He failed my mom in every possible way—medically, professionally, and humanly. He’s not just incompetent; he’s dangerous. Spare yourself the pain my family went through and find a surgeon who actually cares about saving lives instead of destroying them. MOM RIP.
