Dr. Fernando L Vale, MD

I have been patient of Dr Vale but he was not an easy doctor to get along with. He lacked people skills as well as communication skills. He would encouraged me to e mail him if I had any questions. He upsets me many times because a majority of the time he wouldn't answer my questions. If he was in the mood, Dr Vale would only one-three words which didn't sufficiently explain the information I needed. I was always left in the dark. If I called him and left him a message and tell him that I would appreciate if he could please return my call...I would wait for weeks for the unreturned calls. He absolutely doesn't return calls. The last draw that got me upset is when I constantly reminded him of my follow up visit date and he would say that it was no problem. Found out later he was moving out of state and didn't notify me so he can reschedule my follow visit. I blew my stack after finding this out and told him why he didn't notify me. If I didn't tell him off ...I would have… shown up for my follow up and he already left town without notifying me. After pitching a fit...he finally acquiesced to my last follow up with him. He came back into town for my last follow up for the surgery he performed on me almost three years ago. I have to have continued follow up visit every year. Unfortunately Dr Vale could have been a super nice guy, but I saw aloofness, distant, arrogance, and a bit snob. I tried to break that ice but no avail. He is a good neurosurgeon. I advised him to please improve himself for his future patients. He needs to be more compassionate, kind, sensitive, more open minded, a good communicator, empathetic, sensitive, respectful of patients feelings, and be a warm individual. Tried to build rapport and camaraderie as doctor/patient but he didn't want anything with that. I felt you have to have a friendly and trustworthy relationship with your doctor. I didn't really have that. After my last follow up, I was determined to leave in good terms as a lady with class.

I was referred to Dr. Vale in 2016 for a neurology issue. Afterward, Dr. Vale personally called and spoke with me. He sounded sincere about my recovery process, and when I had a follow-up appointment(s), he really took the time to talk to me and address my concerns about my overall health. Again.... Dr. Vale is classified as being "One Of A Kind Doctor" with common sense and bedside manners. I wish he was my primary physician.

I was referred to Dr.Vale, some 10 years ago. He is the most compassionate physician I have known and trust his judgement when it comes to my health. I wish he was not only a "Speciality Physician" but one I could see always for every problem. Do not hesitate to book an appointment when it comes to Neuro-Surgery and or/second opinions.

Df Vale is an excellent neurosurgeon who operated on me back in Sept 2013 for the removal of tumors found in the pituitary gland and my right eye vision was restored. He ia a very caring doctor who made sure of giving me the best post op care. I love his bedside manners, his thoughtfulness, and concern for me. He still keeping an eye on me to make sure that the tumors don't grow back. A Fantastic neurosurgeon1 !

Best doctor I have had, made understanding my situations easy and less stressful and was always one step ahead.

Excellent surgeon. No pain... Would use him again for sure!
