Dr. Fielding Johnson, MD

I think Fielding is entering all the excellent reviews himself. That man is so full of himself??? No bedside manners.......well, no manners at all. I don't think he cares about his patients at all. The ones that say he cares must have given him a compliment so he likes them. If I ever go to the ER I wouldn't want him 5 feet near me!!!

Those 4 people must be his family......I wouldn't let him help my dog

Dr. Johnson is one of the best doctors I've ever met. He genuinely cares,not just about but, for his patients. He listens and explains in words anyone can understand. Doctors like him are very, very hard to find. I left because I moved to MA and miss him deeply.

I am not happy to read the reviews thus far, we need good doctors. The staff is moody, many times rude and. unprofessional, as was already stated, Dr Johnson IS aware of patients having problems with his staff, but he does nothing to correct it. [why?] The doctor makes excuses when he forgets to follow up on serious issues. His staff loses everything and complains when a fax is sent. Patient records are a mess. If staff were competent, priorities would not include socializing, yelling at patients over phone and complaining about their jobs. Office manager brags of "cheaply running office" OVER quality of care for patients. The practice is perplexing as it seems the doctor has above average intelligence and competency, yet he allows a sub par staff. I think the doctor ought to record goings on in his office when he is out of earshot. Would he be surprised? I truly wish him well.

My records were transferred to this office upon my doctor's retirement against my written instructions. They refused to send my records on to my new doctor because they are concerned about cost. Although WHY they can't do it when a patient is willing to pay for it is beyond me. They insisted on my coming to their office during less than acceptable office hours to pick up the records. I am extremely limited in the number of hours I have each year to deal with appoinments that can only be done during the work day. With three children, every minute is already accounted for. I realize that with HIPAA regulations, their hands are tied in certain respects, but there are releases that could be completed to eliminate this nonsense. I didn't have this problem when I've needed to have records transferred in the past. The woman who answered the phone put me on hold so many times, I spent more time listening to dead air than an actual person. She then put me on the phone with the manager… who was quite snobbish, rude and obviously had a major chip on his shoulder.I am sure Dr. Fielding is a competent doctor, but his office staff needs to be replaced.

Dr. Johnson usually follows up on calls IF his staff gives him the message. Often messages and faxes get "lost" or are not relayed to Dr. Johnson. He is aware of this communication problem with his staff but does not address it. On one occasion abnormal (seriously low blood counts) lab test results went unaddressed for a period of 3 months. Office manager also doubles as medical assistant as such he is overwhelmed and he shares his frustration with patients. Very slow to follow up on prescription refills, once taking over a week and 9 faxes from the pharmacy.
