This doctor definitely isn’t very helpful or friendly. She “experiments” too much with medication, doesn’t like if you disagree or question her, threatens to institutionalize you if you look “too skinny,” and has a language and cultural barrier that makes her a difficult person to connect with. On top of that, she seems irresponsible in her approach to prescribing medications. If I were you, I’d find someone that cares — there are so many other better doctors out there, and I’d stay away from this one.

Spent the last several years with this doctor and as I saw her I continued to decline. Other than constant experimentation with my medication she offered no help in locating therapists or other support - I had to figure that out on my own. All I was offered, besides heavy-duty Psych Meds, was a trip to the mental hospital. No compassion, no collaboration, no treatment plan, no suggestions on how to manage my disease. Only thing she pushed was quitting my job and applying for disability. It took another psychiatrist to recognize I was having a severe reaction to my meds. It took my internist’s involvement to help find a psychologist for therapy. It took the psychologist to diagnose me with also having PTSD, help with short-term disability paperwork, and basically save my life because I was planning on ending it. When a doctor complains they have too big a caseload, they don’t have time for you, spends 15mins with you but charges insurance for an hour, can’t correctly write case… notes or writes an incorrect diagnosis and med plan, and tells you paperwork isn’t their job, find someone new. Don’t stick it out like I did. It could mean your life.

I saw Dr Udrea when she was a resident and found she was extremely caring and perceptive!!

I as a mother have had no problems with Dr. Udrea. My son on the other hand has had to learn how to accept that everyone will not tell him what he wants to hear. I believe Dr. Udrea to be a more than competent physician who has chosen a profession that puts her in a position to sometimes deliver information that a parent and/or child may find hard to hear. Dr. Udrea was very good at listening to me and my son, she has given us more than just a perscription and sent us on our way. One time we had to wait for her to return from the hospital for the appointment...all in all I say she's a good doctor who shows compassion and knows her "stuff".

I've read the negative comments and really don't understand. Dr. Udrea is very professional with my son and I. I like that she is a direct to the point kind of person. If you want sugar coating she is not the doctor for you BUT if you want straight up honesty she's the one!

Gets offended very easIly when you do not agree with her, fails to promptly call back when needed, severe language barrier

She saw my child and repeatedly asked her the same question each and everytime she saw her every two to three months. This question had nothing to do with her reason for being there and my daughter was so uncomfortable after the third or fouth time that my daughter started asking me to sit in the visits with her as she felt very uncomfortable which I did. Unfortunately, when the insurance company rules who you can and cannot see, we had to continue but only for med reviews now, have own therapist we found.

Very unprofessional woman. Do not trust your child in her hands.
