Dr. Firas Aubeid, MD, MBA, FACP is a board-certified internal medicine physician with extensive experience in clinical care, hospital leadership, and healthcare management. He is currently seeing patients in the Lemont and New Lennox, IL areas, and provides telehealth in the state of Illinois. 

Dr. Aubeid practices at Avail MD, in New Lenox and Lemont, where he provides personalized, result-driven care for a wide range of medical conditions. With extensive expertise in internal medicine and primary care, he focuses on delivering treatments tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

Dr. Aubeid earned his Doctor …of Medicine degree from the University of Aleppo in Syria and later completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago / Advocate Christ Medical Center. In addition to his medical training, Dr. Aubeid holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, equipping him with advanced expertise in healthcare leadership, quality improvement, and value-based care initiatives. Over the course of his career, Dr. Aubeid has served in multiple leadership roles, including Medical Director of Care Management, Chief of Hospital Medicine, Physician Advisor, and Utilization Review Committee Chair at Advocate Christ Medical Center. He has also held an academic appointment as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Recognized for his dedication to patient care and medical education, Dr. Aubeid has received numerous awards, including the Internal Teaching Attending of the Year, the MVP Award for Compassion and Excellence in Patient Care, and the Humanitarian and Professionalism Award.

A Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Aubeid’s professional interests include medical management, quality improvement, preventative medicine, and identifying and addressing the root causes of disease. Outside of his administrative and clinical responsibilities, Dr. Aubeid is committed to advancing healthcare systems to deliver more efficient, patient-centered, and sustainable care.
