Staff is difficult to get a hold of -- not friendly - general disinterest toward you is how I have felt at this office - need to find another doctor

Frankly I don't have much first-hand knowledge of Dr Mata's medical skill because responsiveness and attention is so poor I haven't seen her work much with my mother. I can tell you if you're looking for information and advice, if you're looking for someone to be involved with your health, if your looking for someone to listen and pay attention you better steer clear of this doctor. I'm managing my elderly mother's health care, on repeated occasions in which other specialists have asked for her medical files or health assessment this doctor has consistently not responded to their requests. I've pulled my mother's files and found a new doctor for her. Maybe she's not interested in geriatric medicine but if that's the case she never took the time to tell us.

I am only writing this review because of the poor customer service I received while scheduling and following up with my appointment. I called for a physical and was having some light headedness, so I needed to get in immediately which they were able to do within 48 hours. However, the morning of my appointment came and they called me to tell me that my Doctor had called in sick, but I could see a Nurse Practitioner at 2pm the same day. When I arrived, the staff acted as though I was interrupting their break, I even go an eye-roll when I asked for new customer information. Then as I am checking in, they tell me I can only do ONE thing - a physical, OR talk to my doctor about the light headedness - not both. I would have to make another appointment for one or the other because the doctor would not get paid for the "extra" work done if both items were addressed at the same time. Needless to say, I cancelled my appointment and walked out. I was a new patient but will not be going back.

Stay away from this doctor. She does not take the time to answer questions thoroughly. I was given seriously incomplete information regarding the side effects of a certain medication and I now suffer daily with severe permanent damage. Don't let her incompetence harm you the way it has harmed me.
