Dr. Foad Farhoumand, DDS

Dr. Foad Farhoumand Dr. Foad Farhoumand was born in Asmara, Eritrea in 1959 and lived in Africa until the age of 15. After attending college at the University of Maryland, Dr. Farhoumand graduated from Georgetown University’s School of Dentistry in 1986, and joined his brother in practice in McLean, Virginia. He has participated in the Seattle Study Club, a leading institute for the advancement of dentistry. Dr. Foad has a true passion for dentistry. His compassion for others is evident from the moment you meet him. He believes in “pain-free” dentistry while providing the highest standard of dental care and infection control. Dr. Farhoumand keeps current with the latest innovations in dentistry by attending many continuing education courses. Dr. Foad is certified in Advanced Implant Therapy, Laser Dentistry, Cerec and Invisalign. Dr. Foad has been able to help many patients straighten their teeth and improve their smile without the use of metal or braces with Invisalign. Dr. …Foad also treats TMJ disorder in order to improve the overall functionality and health of the bite. What’s more is that he is available to treat all types of dental concerns, from aesthetics to reconstructive dental procedures. In his 25 years of practice, Dr. Farhoumand has continued his father’s legacy, who was also a dentist, by welcoming patients from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds. Fluent in many languages including Farsi, Italian, French, and Spanish, his ability to communicate with his patients in their own language allows his patients to be informed decision makers about their dental treatment. Dr. Farhoumand resides in Great Falls, Virginia with his wife, Niki, his son, Safa, and his daughter, Talia. His hobbies include motorcycle riding, and flying RC planes and helicopters.
