Dr. Fonda Chen, DO

Stay away from this doctor! You will never get timely responses, follow up, or thoroughness. Lazy, inadequate, really should look for a different career.

Stay away. She never responds to requests or e-mails, instead having staff bump you around online until you finally give up. Worst experience ever.

My wife and I had similar experience to other people reviewing Dr chen. We took my father in law in to meet Dr Chen and felt unease from first appointment. It was like she didn't want to be there. I've never quite had that experience where you talk to someone, they speak English, but you almost wondered if they understood English because she never acknowledged what we were saying - or answered us directly - and just rushed us out. She was curt. We wished we changed drs immediately because when we need help in a crisis,it was impossible to reach her or get response. We finally went to a doctor friend of my wife at another hospital who got us help. Shockingly when she finally did respond, what she said had nothing to do with my father in law. It was like she was responding to the wrong patient.

A very poor doctor whose staff is apathetic and rude, and who never responds to needs in a timely way, nor follow-ups without being pestered several times by the patient. She's polite in person, but that's only when you actually get her. Otherwise, good luck trying to get any attention, follow-up, or timely comprehensive response; often, she doesn't even understand the full issues and has to have them repeated her multiple times in order to get a satisfactory response. Avoid at all costs.

This was the 2nd time I saw her whenever my primary doctor was out of reach. If I remember her before seeing her for the 2nd time, I would never wanted to see her at all because I just feel like I wasted my $30 copay for nothing. Not only did she not able to help me with anything, the way she talked was sarcastic (when I asked her to refer me to a specialist) and she seem very rush when talking to me. She definitely make me feel like I am not worth her time as a patient.

Disappeared in the the middle of the appointment, unresponsive and extremely inpatient.

Came in a for my annual. Asked if I had any concerns and scheduled me for some blood work. Overall I had a great experience. No complaints.

Spent no time with me and did not help fix the issue

This Doctor was one of the rudest if not the rudest that I have ever encountered in ANY Kaiser Facility. She barely looked at me or my Partner. She was nonchalant about a condition that was terrifying to me. She informed me(I thought she would have been a good choice for a new primary cared doctor). She informed me that No, she was going on Maternity leave in July(this was March)Fair enough, but. . .she was so abrupt and rude about it. I had to immediately go to another doctor who calmed me down, upped the date at Radiology and viola. All was WELL

Either inept or an obstacle to effective timely treatment. Not responsive.
