I visited Dr. Sauer for my ulceritive colitis.He explained a holistic approach to getting off my meds, a package "we'd be unwrapping over 6 months".Feeling pressured with an attitude that this is my last hope, we wrote a $6,000 check.We discovered the education he's selling is a simple healthy eating/detox/supplement treatment, all of which I agree with.However, with this price tag I assumed it would be specific to my condition, but found it's a one-size fits all approach. While great for some conditions, possibly dangerous for me. Also, after researching the ingredients in his detox, I found one has black pepper, which during my initial visit, he said can cause problems for people like me.I am so glad I got a second opinion from a very well respected functional medicine dr. in Minneapolis. No magic cure was alluded to and my life may have been saved. Sadly, some conditions do require medicine to prevent further damage. After one day's visit, we decided to back out, receiving some… money back, but that day did cost us over $1,100. Please! Before signing anything, ask detailed questions about your specific condition.
