I went to see Doctor Chen for a full knee replacement. I had seen 2 other orthopedic doctors prior and can say that Dr. Chen took the time to completely explain the procedure and why I needed it. The other two lacked in that regard. Prior to surgery he explained what to expect, and was there for me as a calming influence. Once again during my post-surgery appointments Dr. Chen was very informative and listened to my concerns, addressing each one fully. I was impressed as well with his response time in MyChart when I did reach out with questions. Knowledgeable, kind, and willing to listen would be how I describe Dr. Chen.

Dr. Chen was professional, knowledgeable and really listened when I explained my symptoms. He treated me like a person not just another patient.

Dr Chen navigated my complex medical landscape with so much attentiveness and clear communication. When I expressed how much I want to resume an active and athletic lifestyle he heard me. He listened to my knowledge of my body and combined it with his expertise and skill set. Many doctors say "as a team" - he and his staff do create a team with me feeling validated and supported and life was better before I even left the hospital.

Wonderful provider and so accommodating for my appointment with my 1 year old and explaining all of the details and getting answers I needed! Highly recommend!

I have had a few Surgeons quickly offer me surgery. Dr. Chin offered me hope. I entered my appointment feeling hopeless/helpless, but upon leaving I a plan and a spring in my step. Not really a spring due to the bad knees, but definitely a sense of hope. I felt heard and cared for. Even if, eventually I'll need surgery, I trust him. So grateful to have found him. Finding a good doctor, is like finding the right pair of shoes.

This was my first meeting with Dr. Chen.. I found him to be knowledgeable not only in Orthopedic specific to knee issues, as well as how medical insurance reacts to and covers treatment… I find this as valuable as his skill as a Doctor…

Result of TKA performed by Dr. Chen 2+ years ago continues to be traumatic for me. While the knee functionality is tolerable, I still have constant pain around the knee, barely acceptable flexion, and extremely uncomfortable tightness at every moment, even with very minimal bending. I was healthy and fit and suitable for the surgery, followed exactly all the recommended PT (although I've come to realize that Kaiser PT is not great) and all recommendations of surgeon and other providers. I can't even begin to describe how disappointing and sad this experience continues to be on a daily basis.
