Dr. Chavez was our family's primary care doctor for 10 years in Santa Fe NM. We miss her broad professional expertise and especially her personal attention. We highly recommend Dr Chavez

My parents received a statement from Dr.Chavez's office yesterday. So they went to the office for the statement to be explain to them. The girl that was explaining the balance but they were getting fustrated.Because for the meanwhile, my parents said that they were having trouble listening to the girl explaining the balance.They were glad that the girl took the time to research and explain to them.But they were losing their patients with the child talking over them. The other girl did tell the child to be quite but the child just didn't listen. My mother said that she left out of the office because she just couldn't take that child interruptions.Left my dad in the office speaking to the girl. My parent weren't there to not pay the balance they were there so it could be explain and pay the balance. The fustration was the child interruptions.My parents also said that the office where the girls were was a mess.Something that they hadn't seen before.My parents were glad to pay the balance… off and that it was explain to them to where they understood. When they called me upset- I really thought it was a problem because they never complained before about this office or upset.I really think that this matter should be taken up by manager. A friend from work gave me this site to place this complain. Wasn't aware of this site.Thanks to coworker Hope Dr.Chavez's office manager view this complain.

Dr.Chavez is a great doctor. She spends time with you and takes her time with you to explain things with you. Which that is great. The problem is the receptionist is not as friendly as she seems. She can be rude on the phone. No care or really wants to hear your problem.If a patient calls its because we need the doctor to know and give us a advise.For example, to got to the Urgent Care, ER, walk in, or Set appointment.There has been a problem in the office--Can't count on the receptionist to do anything for you because you need to keep calling her.You need to push her to get it done. The doctor is probably not aware how bad it is. The dress code -- The receptionist has some nasty looking scrubs.They look dirty. This receptionist doesn't call to remind you of your appointment. This office needs a better receptionist that will represent the office as a friendly and professional dress.(Ironing & Starch)The Nurses has been unprofessional.The visits were a experience that is not to forget… the nurse. One nurse was very quite,unfriendly,that made you uncomfortable(still there)and then the older nurse(slim)- poor lady-she didnt know anything about nursing. These nurses don't call you back,can't answer any questions,Believe me its very uncomfortable..Just was in for a visit not to long ago and this nurse is the most unfriendly person. Makes you feel so uncomfortable that you dont want to ask anything.Dr Chavez needs to make some big changes to make this office a great staff and acompany her to provide great service to the patients.

I have been taking my family to Dr. Chavez for several years and I love her. She pays attention to me when I am in the exam room and answers all my questions. When ever I need something the receptionist that has been there for a long time is pretty good at getting back to me. The new girl up front is very nice as well. I don't care much for her new nurse though, she is very hard to get a hold of. Sometimes getting a call back can take a little while but I think people need to understand that neither the receptionists or the nurse have a medical licence. It would be very irresponsible and dangerous if anything is done without Dr. Chavez's approval. I don't mind waiting if I know my questions are going to be answered from the doctor. I think they are doing a great job.

Dr.Chavez is wonderful but the lack of the office is the receptionist and the nurse that always very poor. Dr. Chavez needs to polish that up and then her office would be wonderful. At this time, why I'm looking for another Doctor because receptionist has been there for a couple of years and not very caring nor keep up with our paperwork in a timely manner. You need to call the receptionist to tell her to get it down. While you wait for a test to be done. There is a babysitting service / medical office also. Which that concerns me if the Doctor is really attenting to my problems while the child is running or pushing keyboards. Nurse could be talking to me and the child is asking questions. While the nurse is trying to attent to me. This is very unprofessional.The child also is sitting on the front counter while the receptionist is trying to talk to me to set appointment and we have to stop because child is talking. So it takes longer to set appointment. Then to reach to get the… appointment card the receptionist need to go around the child to hand you the appointment card. This is not a good professional office. Are things really being done right with a child in between the office staff and nurse area?Daycare is something that should be consider!!!Children shouldn't be in a work area.Give patients the attention that is needed instead of a child that is just hanging out in the office. Look up daycare centers in the phone book.Help Dr.Chavez for your office could be better.

Dr. Chavez is a doctor I would highly recommend. She has an outstanding bedside manner, she's friendly and always makes me feel like I am the only one in the building when she comes into the exam room. She's not rushed because there's patients in every exam room - she's mindful and completely focused on me. She also has a easy, non-clinical way about her - she asks questions, engages in friendly conversation and you know it's genuine. She rocks!

Dr. Chavez is a great Dr., when you can get in to see her. She will take her time and listen to all your concerns which makes the wait not too bad. However her Front staff is horrible, they are rude and inconsiderate. They are constantly "rescheduling" appointments, will state they will call you back when you actually have to end up calling them, again. I'm sorry, but if I can't get in to see my dr, what is the point of going there. I will be changing dr's and it is because of the STAFF not Dr. Chavez.
