Dr. Frances Anne Herb, MD

I often have to wait a long time to see her but that is because of the system, not her. My former doc at Stanford was also only allowed 20 minutes per patient which is not enough time to really treat someone. Dr. Herb keeps you waiting cause she spends time with patients and most of her patients gladly wait know that when it is their turn, she will also give them the time needed for their needs.We all need to remember that the health care system is greatly stressed. And, after all, Herb practices at a clinic with primarily low income patients, which tend to be higher need and the clinic has poor administrative support because of economics, not because of a lack of caring.It's not Dr. Herb's fault most insurance will only pay for 20 minute appointments. It's not her fault that documenting her patient care takes more time than the system gives her. She has to annotate the consultation by law -- and by medical necessity-- but there is no time budgeted into her day for such paperwork.It… can be difficult to get appointments with her but that is the system, not the doc. And, as far as I am concerned, she is always worth waiting for.

It took more than an hour to get in and then she only had 20 minutes for an appointment it took 3 months to get. Can't get prescriptions filled or refilled and she will not refer to specialists for anything.

Dr. Herb is contemplative and exacting about her work as time does permit. An error did prevail over a letter that she wrote, however. She did correct her evaluation when I did see her again, but that was too late. Her perspective is commendable although she does not detect the true reason for which I have a right to protect myself from those who have threatened harm. Analytical thinking and insight should be valued, and I do not doubt that she exhibits such qualities. Dichotomous evidence indicates general disregard for poor financial conditions--that recipients of state aid will probably remain indigent. Such a self-fulfilling prophesy must be challenged effectively. Erroneous evaluations should rightfully be challenged. Our Justice system is failing; the toxicity of amalgam-fillings is at last exposed. Our Social and Medical system is also failing. I don't doubt that Dr. Herb is well-motivated.
